New GardenLocated opposite the train station, we ordered food to take away.We had Singapore Chow Mein, Special Fried Rice with Curry and Mixed Vegetables in Szechuan sauce. A bag of prawn crackers was given for free.This was the worst experience in Chinese food we ever had. The Singapore Chow Mein tasted disgusting, it was bitter and inedible.Special Fried Rice was extremely salty. The curry sauce that came with it was as thick as jelly.The Mixed Vegetables in Szechuan sauce tasted really artificial. It wasn't spicy as it should be but sweet and full of MSG.It didn't go any better with the prawn crackers that were spoilt. They've forgot to keep them in an airtight container.It was on a Saturday when most catering businesses are busy but this restaurant was dark and empty at 6 -7pm. The service was fine and the food were reasonably priced. Other than that, never again!

Surprised by how good the pizza was for such a cheap option!

Been using Ginos for past couple months but on Monday we received this burnt pizza. Phone lines were turned off so we couldn't get through for a replacement or refund - literally felt scammed. Crazy someone looked at this and thought "send that out". Worst takeaway experience we've had.

I hired STB for my wedding, thirteen guest ended up getting sick. Upon contacting STB they refused to admit any liability and basically laughed in my face. BUYER BEWARE!!!

As always we had a great time in this lgbt friendly cafe bar. Friendly chatty staff fun atmosphere (there's often a drag act on or dj) and most of the prices are cheaper than weatherspoons.

Love popping in to see the staff for a coffee, before I get my train. Amber and Sarah are very chatty and always remember my order.

Lovely little spot for a quick meal or cuppa. Nice and relaxed for catching up with people. Plenty of space. Decent selection on the menu and always prepared quickly, plus lots to grab and eat from the chillers.

stayed here with my wife and 2 small children staff on reception were very nice and helpful room was very clean and enough room for us all breakfast was good and worth every penny definitely stop again

Like another author on here, having a meal in a department store seemed to me to be a bit "old hat", what with all the other dining opportunities there are about the place these days. But, knowing that the House of Fraser store in the centre of Hull will be closing shortly (see below) made me especially nostalgic so when the opportunity arose to visit I welcomed it with open arms. I won't claim this to be the swishest place in town. For a start, it's in the basement which means there is no natural light, nor do you benefit from the rooftop views which are common to many department store cafes and restaurants these days. But the atmosphere was friendly and there was a choice of conventional tables or comfy armchairs to sit in. There was the usual range of coffees and teas on offer, and a modest selection of cakes and sandwiches. I chose a chicken and bacon panini with caramelised onion jam. This was toasted to order, served with a small side garnish, arrived within a few minutes and tasted delicious! The staff were very friendly and chatty and it is sad to think they will lose their jobs in a few months' time - readers will probably know that this particular store has been axed by House of Fraser with a provisional closing date of 19th January 2019. I for one will be very sad to see it go - I remember back to the days when it traded as "Binns" (part of the family group which operated in the north east of England) and - even further back in the mists of time - good old "Hammonds", another local family firm which actually built the store in its prominent location opposite the railway station the early 1950s. Time marches on sadly and the days of the conventional department store may be numbered. But there is still time to pay a visit to this pleasant hideaway in the centre of the city.

Absolute waste of money... Worst takeaway I've ever had, both the pizzas was solid, could have smashed a window if it was thrown at one it was that hard!!!! The Donner meat didn't just taste awful it looked it too , 🤢 the chips were just as bad too!!! The only thing good about it was the delivery lady who was so kind bless her. However I couldn't believe she was out delivering on her own at that time of night past midnight. today (the next day) since I woke up , I've done nothing but pass wind and I have felt awful with a temperature 🤒 😭 so yeah overall it was absolutely disgusting will never be ordering ever ever again
