The best restaurants in Haverstoe North East Lincolnshire Yorkshire and The Humber

On arrival the place looks very appealing and an extensive menu ( not cheap ) Unfortunately the quality of the food is not the best , which would not reflect the prices as its not the cheapest. Bread was cheap , eggs were watery The staff are not the friendliest either. We had a sickness bug the same night and I wasn't sure if it came from the same place ( I visited with my sister and 18 month old ) Anyway a week later I returned with my partner and dog just had a cake and drink. The same night and day after we both had a dodgy stomach and I'm wondering if it's from the same cafe ? I'm not 100% sure but I won't visit again now

Excellent selection of chinese starters and mains, plus Indian food that I didn't try. Yep it only has (very good) soft icecream with a large selection of sauces, and also fruit salad as sweets but to be frank after a good feed it is really all you need. A good time was had by all of our large mixed age party with no complaints either. Priced very reasonably with under fives free which is a massive bonus. Would we go again? Most certainly.

Friendly staff and delicious food. Lots of choice, quick service and good value. Will be paying another visit when we come to cleethorpes again.

Don’t wait in the right hand drive through lane - after watching 4 cars go through in the left hand lane (who arrived after us) the answer from the young man taking orders was “well that’s only a standby lane” - not acceptable 🤬 all we wanted was a mayo chicken meal and a cheeseburger- we had to them go wait again in bay 2 to wait for the food. Nothing complicated - didn’t ask for the items to be modified. Terrible service I. Chips lukewarm!

I used to visit Marklews many years ago but until recently moving back into the area. My last visit was shocking, how the times have changed Asked for fish & chips got charged for a large which then they said they give as standard? I wouldn't of minded but when I got home A. It was not a large size more a small/medium B. The quality was disappointing dark batter soggy & raw inside can tell the oil was very old gave me indigestion, fish wasn't that white lots of grey at bottom.

We arrives at kfc at 9:50pm, we ordered our food on the electronic ordering machines, it asked if we wanted to sit in or takeaway, we wanted to sit in, the cleaner kindly asked us if we could sit in a certain area because she cleaned the other side which was fine, not a problem. We went to collect our food they told us they closed in 10 minutes so we would have to take our food away, to which I argued our case that we had been told we could sit down. Fold arrived, no popcorn chicken (even though it was part of a box meal), we asked for popcorn chicken and eventually got it. We asked for sachets of sauce, they don't do them anymore, u have to pay 50p for a pot. The ice cream looked NOTHING like the pictures at all, the chips were horrific, we asked for cleaning wipes, they don't those anymore! Another set of customers came in who was also told they closed in 2 minutes, yet on the door it clearly states 10:30pm and we were only at 10:05pm. The attitude of the staff was appalling! Apart from the WONDERFUL cleaner who was really kind and doing an exeptional job.

Totally bad experience. We had a voucher for a free child’s meal but on sitting down we realised we had been charged suit. On querying this at the till they admitted that a mistake had been made but refused to rectify it. Also wrong ingredients in one of our sandwiches which instead of replacing they just scraped the wrong items off won’t be going back

The last few times I’ve visited there hasn’t been enough staff working, the tables have been dirty and lots of the menu unavailable. When I visited yesterday, I waited too long to be served, waited too long for my drink to be ready and there was a strange atmosphere inside. Everyone was stood about waiting for their orders whilst the staff were too busy talking and laughing with each other. Not great when spending £4.60 for a medium drink.

This used to be an amazing takeaway however sadly I cannot say the same now The place is only cash, staff look miserable and are not friendly Food quality is poor ordered 2 pizza platters Donna meat was dry, chips were over cooked while pizza was undercooked

Waited 40mins for a wrap meal when it wasn’t packed with customers. Seemed understaffed, angry server and dirty tables.

Gone off drastically in the last year or so, ok if you short of time and stuck for options. Bacon not cooked enough, sausages awful. They don't use butter only marge.
