The best restaurants in Park North East Lincolnshire Yorkshire and The Humber

I’ve been coming here almost every week (more often than I should be) and I always treat family and friends to one of their mixed boxes. It’s always been amazing and never fails to put a smile on people’s faces. Date I say some of the best desserts I’ve had.

Popular cafe close to train station, regular flow of customers eating in, take away and delivery. I was staying across the road at the Holiday Inn Express and was stuck for a snack so read reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Simple menu for food and a great selection of bottled beer from around Europe. The ploughman’s sandwich with salad and crisps was delicious, all fresh and served quickly, washed down with a bottle of Duvel. The only downside I could see was deciding on which drinks to choose.

We have been here a few times before and everything was great, Since it has changed hands not so great. I ordered a large fish which was rather bland and the batter was soggy, My partner ordered a gluten free fish and chips which was also bland but the chips were nice. She asked if they had gluten free vinegar they said yes it's £1, She thought that was the price for the bottle when in fact the man said it was £1 for a squirt of vinegar because it's very expensive... So she said no thanks. £1 for a squirt of vinegar is absolutely disgusting. I looked online and can get a 315ml bottle of gluten free vinegar for £4.89 free delivery. Probably get more than 100 squirts from the bottle easily... All in all very bland fish with soft not crunchy batter, lots of skin on the fish, bland peas and extortionate gluten free vinegar price.. We will not be returning....

Venue is clean, light and comfortable with a conducive atmosphere . The hosts were exceptionally pleasant and attentive. The food was wonderfully well presented and was some of the tastiest that we had encountered in some time. Well done to all involved and thank you for an exceptional dining experience.

We recently attended a family 21st birthday in the back room at Millfields Hotel. This location had been chosen after we held a 50th birthday there earlier in the year in the Restaurant. I must start by saying that Sommer, one of the bar/restaurant staff, could not have been more helpful even considering the situation of the evening. A buffet had been ordered, like the previous time, to come out at 8pm and it had been requested that we have all savory food, including some hot food and sandwiches, and no cakes. When the buffet was served the majority was plates of cakes, with a couple of bowls of hot food. The quality of the food that was served was poor and when we asked to speak to the manager we were greeted by the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager who said there must have been some kind of miscommunication with the kitchen and she apologised profusely. We were informed that there was a table of 20 that they must serve first and then they would bring out more hot food and some sandwiches to correct the mistake, and would be no longer than 15 minutes. After half an hour of waiting and another family member having to ask for the pots of sauce that also hadn't been brought out with the hot food, we again asked on the progress of the sandwiches as people had already eaten some of the hot food and what was left was now cold. We were greeted with more apologies and were told the food for the table of 20 had been delayed and therefore we would have to wait longer for the sandwiches. We asked to speak to a higher level of management and were told no one would be in until Monday but we were welcome to wait and speak to someone then, and to 'keep the plates of cakes anyway' even though we had made it clear we didn't want them as we had a two tier birthday cake. After nearly an hour and a quarter the sandwiches were finally served - 3 plates of. (Ham, Cheese and Egg) Not the fillings, nor quantity or quality, we would have necessarily received should the right buffet selection been given to the kitchen to begin with. We felt very fobbed off and lied to at this point and found the evening poorly organised on the hotels behalf. The lady whom booked this event on behalf of her son, was totally embarrassed and mortified at the hole situation and spent the evening apologising to guests for the delays and poor quality of food. To top it off, and more reason for our review, on Sunday morning multiple guests from different households woke with upset stomachs after all eating at Millfields on the Saturday evening. We were totally disappointed in the evening from start to finish, especially after previous successful family functions held here.

Stay here a lot whilst on business - at least 1 night a week and have for around 6 months. Service is fantastic and what sets this hotel apart from any others in Grimsby! Within a month the team knew my exact dinner order, had the gym door code written down for me and put me in a quiet room always. Food in the restaurant is always great - I always have chicken Caesar salad and it’s always perfect - a great portion and always lots of chicken! Gym is a great perk and always quiet with a decent amount of equipment! Shower is always powerful in the room and room always has the amenities needed for a couple of nights away. On leaving the team always have my invoice printed quickly, ready for me leaving swiftly early morning! 100% recommend! Would recommend!

Decent beer (Doombar) didn't try anything else. Staff and manager very friendly. We had a good night.

One of my favourite pubs in town, foods not bad, staff are sound, especially the blonde one with the big naucs. Ok selection of beers, multiple blueprint bandits, love coming here would recommend to all

Review updated as of 2025 Food was nice, but not cheap unless you have a good offer on the app. The service was brilliant, with really friendly staff.

Very friendly service . We nearly all had an afternoon tea & found it very good value for money. Shame that they will now have to close again but we will certainly be visiting again when able to do so.

called on for lunch at about 12.30 and found it empty. And no I can't work out why; the server was very friendly and helpful, the coffee good and the food great. It deserves to be packed.
