The best restaurants in Richmond West Richmondshire Yorkshire and The Humber

Our group of two families ordered take out lunch to eat in the market square. The staff were very friendly, amenable to menu customisations and gave us an honest estimate of how long our order would take, given how busy the cafe was. We didn’t mind waiting in the sun drinking our yummy smoothies / coffees. Our sandwiches, paninis, sausage rolls and salad were all delicious!

Now called The Bread Bowl, this cafe in Richmond Market Hall is a nice example of the genre. It is clean and tidy and has a decent menu of hot and cold meals and snacks as well as hot drinks. Interestingly, it also serves a range of German food, such as Bratwurst. Service is very good and prices most reasonable.

Just got two parmos hot shot that was not a hot shot and had no cheese on only pepperoni and bechamel sauce on at all when we rang to complain they said the meanu only says pepperoni so not sure how you can call it a hot shot absolutely disgusting I will never return shop only offered the same again for half price

Our last port of call on a pub crawl with the boys and what a good day we had lovely pub great atmosphere and really nice staff if we visit the town next year we'll be in

Went for tea after being at Catterick races. Got to say the lasagne was one of the nicest I have ever had and my hubby said his steak pie was beautiful.

Lovely place to work, eat and catchup with friends. Great staff and amazing selection of drinks available.

I used to visit Morro on evenings and weekends to socialise with friends and for quiz nights however since recently having my first baby I’ve been going in during the day much more and just wanted to leave a review to say how wonderful the service has been. I’ve been in on my own with my baby as a nervous new mum and the staff have been so friendly and welcoming. The changing facilities are brilliant and there is loads of room for prams I’ve even managed to take my dog and baby at the same time. It’s been a lovely place for me to meet up with friends as well whilst on maternity leave. Thank you to all the staff at Morro for creating such a friendly atmosphere!

Probably my favourite Chinese of all time. The service is what made it, the guy behind the counter was thorough and kind, he ensured that the food would stay piping hot until we got home to eat it - and gave us some recommendations on his favourite dishes growing up. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it - I can't recommend this place enough.

Literally had the entire pub to ourselves. Very welcoming and dog friendly. Food was spot on pub grub, homemade chips were delicious.

Arrived at 16.35 on Bank Holiday Monday. I asked if they were still serving as a large section was not in use, they had cleared and moved chairs away from and area and were in the process of cleaning the coffee machine. A young girl said we close at 5pm, no smile, no hello. She was not happy when we ordered 2 coffees and sat down. At 16.55 she appeared over my shoulder and said "we close in 5 minutes" I replied yes I am aware of that and had not forgotten that we have been a great inconvenience to you!!! She then went outside to collect the A frame in puffing if her vape. Wrong person to work in a coffee house in a customer service job. Obviously didn't want to he there. Very rude no manners.

The world’s worst Sweet and Sour Chicken. Such a lacking dish. Very disappointing.

We went here for dinner when family visited, we took our own wine and has some sparkling water at the table. Excellent service including roses for the ladies as we left and plentiful good food.

Called for drinks only as we were passing on our way to a restraunt booking elsewhere. The beer was spot on and the locals very friendly inviting us to the night's activities. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

We checked in and the owner stated the DJ would be on until 1/1:30am in the morning which I understand as it’s a pub … got to the room there was mould all in the bathroom and the window was so drafty I was absolutely freezing. 11pm came people were in the beer garden, they may aswell of been in the room with me, so loud and the music shook all the walls. The only thing that was ok was the bedding and towels seemed fresh. I’ve been to a lot of 18-30 hotels abroad and they didn’t even compare to the noise I experienced. It’s such a shame as Richmond is beautiful and the property is so old and could be gorgeous. I do a lot of honest reviews good and bad so please take my advice and stay elsewhere.
