The best restaurants in England

Wonderful selection of cakes + great coffee. Stopped here to grab lunch and enjoyed a really nice takeaway quiche, some very tasty tiffin and a great cup of coffee. Prices reasonable and the service could not be more friendly

Passiflora is a lovely coffee shop surrounded by idyllic gardens. The coffee and pastries are extremely delicious and the vibe exceptionally salubrious. So far, three generations are creating a wonderful atmosphere for conversation and relaxation. Watch out Mary Berry, Grandma makes a wicked Victoria Sponge! 🌿😋☕️🍰🌸

What a lovely experience here, today. Staff are absolutely lovely, so kind and friendly. Our food was really delicious- the pesto in my panini, yum yum yum! I also had a ‘not coffee pumpkin spiced latte’…so nice! We’ll definitely be back (folks were queuing to get in and I can understand why).

What a place! Awesome decor, amazing music, fabulous collection of vinyl and the most delicious coffee. The owner is such a great chap to chat music and coffee with and the selection of cakes looked amazing.

Looking for a good takeaway on a saturday and came across Mumbai Lounge after reading the reviews plus had 50 percent off on uber eats which was even better. When it arrived, well what can I say everything was piping hot and soooo fresh. Cannot fault anything whatsoever, so delicious. Will definitely be eating here again. :)

Impromptu visit today. Approx 11am & cafe mega busy, booking advisable! We hadn’t booked but luckily got the last free table. Coffee & bacon / egg barm, all done very nicely. Only minor issue is we weren’t offered any sauce when the waitress brought the food, had to go back to counter & was swiftly resolved!

Popped in for a drink after a dog walk (dogs very welcome here) with my husband and daughter. My daughter had a gorgeous and generous milkshake while my husband and I had coffee and tea. The owners are lovely and the cafe was a great, welcoming space with a fun mini ice cream van for the little ones. Our dog was offered a treat (and gladly accepted!) and there was fresh water for him too. We even bought a gift from the lovely selection of gifts and homewards on offer. We didn’t eat but the food looked great and we’ll definitely be back!

We absolutely love Lift Up! As very frequent visiters to Chill we are here often. Fab tea and hot chocolate (gold dust anyone?!) and the cakes are epic. Especially love the banana bread and homemade cakes. Food is lovely and even the fussy ones find something. Would like to visit to dine and drink in a bit more but one member of our family gets a bit anxious in closed in spaces so it can be a bit much as often very busy. Takeaway is an option available.

We've enjoyed the Town Arms before, but after last night, might look elsewhere. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reserved table, the bar was 3 deep, one girl serving and no-one else was on hand to help us. After 15 mins being patient at the bar I spoke up, announced our arrival to the bar lady and proceeded to order food for our family of four. The table was ready, so we sat with our first round of drinks. Half hour later, my wife ordered another round believing that food would be out soon. After an hour waiting for food I went up, the bar girl said she would check, but offered no apology. Out food arrived 10 minutes later, with a short apology from the young waiter. The food was of excellent quality, but by then we were starving and wolfed it down, rather than take our time and enjoy it. Because we'd had to pay in advance, there was no offer of any compensation for our wait, and also no indication of slow timings when we ordered. On a quieter night, I'm sure things would have been fab, but we'd choose somewhere else with more staff on busier evenings in future.

Mac - you're a legend! Thank you so much for all your help on the lead up to our Christmas Party! Obviously, it helped that I am the queen of organising Christmas parties!!! ;-) We had 27 people on Friday 6th December for a 3-course dinner and drinks. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, even asking for paper, and a bucket (don't ask!)... only a few grumbles but you can't please everyone. I'd personally say the Lamb Bon Bons were a little on the dry side, and the Chocolate Tart was a little bland, but when you're serving that many people, I understand why it's sometimes not perfect! My Christmas Burger though, was delicious! There was a LONG wait in between main and dessert but for me, I just think it was a nice opportunity to mingle and chat! There were a few people from downstairs who came to get drinks upstairs - I think maybe a couple maybe got a free drink on our tab, I'm not sure - maybe we should have a password or something else in place in future! Tiny yet perfectly formed, this hidden gem of a restaurant offers delicious food at a great price. My wife and I were visiting a concert at The Piece Hall and Seoul Food Kitchen is just a few yards from the West entrance. The food is amazing... The spicy cauliflower - go for the large portion, you will want more of the fluffy, gooey... delicious taste. Lovely people, great food. What more can I say?
