Went today to celebrate my birthday with family. Not very impressed with lunch, my husband had fish and chips but chips were hard( should have complained but didn't want to spoil celebration) my daughter and l had Xmas Bowl which consisted of lot of chips hidden beneath cubes of turkey and bacon and stuffing and cranberry mayo. My biggest moan is about what l was charged for a can of Coca Cola (£3.50) and yet only £3 for half pint of Harp lager. Needless to say, l won't be returning in a hurry.

For anyone wondering if the food has changed with the name change, it hasn't! Still exactly the same. I'm genuinely surprised at the bad reviews I've never had a bad dish from here and the ribs are the best in town, actually have meat on them!

Brilliant. Burgers are lovely, chips are great and wraps are nice too. Good staff, and decent value. You can tell the lads in the kitchen put the effort in. Smashing.

The shop was busy when we called in. We found a table in the cafe and had a look at the menu. The ordering system seemed a little confusing and people didn't seem to know where they ought to be queueing. When the food came it was great. My other half had the breakfast and said it was really good. I didn't find the staff particularly welcoming. I know it was busy but even a smile would make customers feel welcome.

Went here as the cafe has a lovely setting but it is let down badly as it is extremely overpriced. One of us had soup and half a sandwich - small bowl of soup which tasted just OK and a sandwich which has to be the smallest I have ever seen with very little filling! Total rip off for the price. There is also no choice for gluten free customers. Such a pity as the cafe is pleasant to sit in.

Lovely meal here with the family and children too, very welcoming efficient staff, the food was all delicious, and a great 3 course meal offer on which was great value.

My family has been ordering from Phoenix for at least 10 years. We will never order again. Recently the food has not been up to standard and today it was so disappointing. It is sad that such a well established restaurant has come to this.

Never fails to satisfy... always lovely food and very helpful staff. Definitely recommend the burgers.

Food was over an hour late, called to cancel as i was told it was in the car 40 minutes prior and it hadn't arrived, turns out they refuse a refund even if you offer to take the food back, food was inedible and the attempt at curry sauce was mind boggling it all went straight in the bin, rotten I've put a chargeback through the bank and advise others to do the same
