I did not actually go into this cafe but witnessed an amazing act of humanity from the 2 staff members inside their store during the late shift of 14/09/2023. Without going into too much detail, where others would've kicked someone out of the store these two ladies ensured that their customer was dealt with, with compassion, humanity, patience. Great to see kind people still in the world.

Upon arriving at the second window to collect my order, the employee handed four drinks through my car window. As she passed them, the drink carrier gave way and tore, causing a large Coca-Cola to spill across my central console, passenger seat, my son’s trousers and shoes, and into the passenger footwell. The employee offered no apology and instead instructed me to move to the next window. I questioned her, saying, “Did you not see what just happened?” She responded by simply replacing the spilled drink, as if that were sufficient. I then requested to speak with a manager, at which point Joanne, the on-duty manager, arrived. She did not offer an apology or express any acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused, repeatedly stating that “it was an accident.” I politely asked for a refund on my order to cover the cost of a vehicle valet, but Joanne refused, saying she couldn’t make that decision and, if it were up to her, the answer would be no. She took no responsibility for the situation and continued to dismiss it as an unavoidable accident. When I requested to speak with another manager, Joanne declined three times, asserting that they would share her opinion. Eventually, another manager, Phil, came to assist. He was far more understanding and empathetic but explained that he could not override Joanne’s decision without consulting his supervisor. Phil assured me that he would escalate the matter and took my contact details for follow-up. While I am optimistic that Phil will ensure I receive a call back from a senior representative, I am deeply disappointed by Joanne’s handling of the incident. Her lack of professionalism and unwillingness to address the issue appropriately raises serious concerns about how she was placed in a position of authority. I would caution others to reconsider visiting this establishment.

Went to the customer vacant counter to order and we were ignored while the three members of staff were faffing with 5 or 6 Uber/ just eats bagged orders on the counter. After 3 or 4 minutes one of the staff members looked up and said that they were not serving at the counter and we had to use the self service boards. I asked if we would be able to use the blue light discount card and was told no, we would need to press the ‘pay at counter’ button then come to the counter and pay! Really really disappointed disrespected and discriminated against- that’s the KFC Riverside, Northampton customer service experience we left with. Needless to say we walked out without buying anything.

Went through Drive Thru, placed half our order and after asking for no ice on the first drink were told to move to the first window. We hadn’t finished our order, and we couldn’t edit at the window and add on the other meal. Weren’t asked if we had finished our order, and were just hurried along. Drive thru staff did not have a nice approach towards us when we explained they had not let us finish, and was not at all apologetic. When we asked to cancel the order, she didn’t even talk and then ignored us. Not happy with the service.

KFC Towcester, Northampton - Review The KFC in Towcester offers a generally positive experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, making for a welcoming atmosphere. The food is freshly cooked, which is always a big plus, and the interior of the premises is clean and well-maintained. Additionally, having onsite parking is convenient for customers. However, there are a couple of areas for improvement. While the inside is spotless, the outside of the premises could use some attention, as it leaves much to be desired. Another significant issue is the ladies’ toilet door not closing properly, which makes the facilities unusable for some customers—a concern that needs addressing promptly. Overall, it’s a good spot for fresh food and friendly service, but these minor issues, especially the restroom situation, slightly detract from the experience.
