Immediately greeted by the barista who asked how are day was going. He patiently explained the types of coffee to us. The room upstairs is set up like a gentleman's club. It's great room and when full I imagine would have a fantastic atmosphere.

Went here today for brunch and can thoroughly recommend! I went for the "Bad Ass" combo which has sausage, bacon, mushrooms, eggs, pancakes & amazing hash browns. Also comes with unlimited tea/coffee/OJ. There were many other great options on the menu too - next time I'd try the breakfast scramble. We were greeted warmly by the great staff and were seated at the diner bar. Food was great, good service and pleasant atmosphere. If I still lived in Nottingham I'd be back every week!

Came for a sausage making evening absolutely fantastic we had so much fun and made fantastic sausage. We all bought some beers wilt us and Johnny laughed and joked with us all night. We run events every fortnight and this is the best we’ve done for a good while

Went here recently to celebrate an anniversary, night ended with both of us confined to the bathroom. First of all, I will preface this by saying the venue itself is lovely. The design is excellent, it’s well lit, the music is good and the shisha bar also looked good though we didn’t go in there. However, upon entering we were hidden in a corner seat despite an empty restaurant. After ordering from the extensive menu we were left waiting for a very long time, especially given the lack of other customers on this particular night. Now the food, my partner ordered a pasta dish which was essentially inedible. Had a foul smell that made us question if it had been prepared this side of the Industrial Revolution. The chicken on top and garlic bread were average, but were overpowered by the rancid smell and taste of the pasta. This is not helped by the ambiguity of the menu, since ‘zesty sauce’ can mean many things and certainly didn’t describe the dish that was served. This is a trend among other items on the menu and narrowed down the menu to only a handful of dishes we could decipher the contents of. I had a biryani dish which, while more edible than the pasta, was ultimately three pieces of dry chicken lumped into a small bucket of rice. After our noble attempts at eating, we were left for a long time while watching numerous staff walk past without even looking at us and led to us leaning over the foliage we were hidden behind to request the bill. Shortly after leaving the restaurant we found ourselves briskly walking home to the safety of the porcelain, where we remained for the following few hours. Overall, the setting allows for the potential to a wonderful restaurant for young people that is unfortunately let down by almost every other aspect, including the overall unwelcoming atmosphere.

Update we first reviewed this place 1 star as food was shocking but after speaking to the owner Shaun he invited all 4 of us back to have food and drink on the house we went this evening 20th jan all i can say is thank you lovely food no issues came out in about 15 mins Well first time going today took 50 mins for food to come out i had the ribeye steak medium it was really fatty and raw wife's chicken burger was poor On the good side of it the waitress amelia was really pleasant

We booked for our annual “lads’ Xmas meal”, while the food was good, the following elements were missing for me: 1) The beer choice available was very poor. I like bitter, but all our waiter had to offer was lager, lager, lager, IPA, cider, Guinness. Why not have a decent bitter type drink instead of one of the lagers? 2) I ordered the Asian crispy shredded beef for a starter. What arrived was a bowl of just that; a few strands of vegetation added.. I gave up half way through, nice as it was I would expect something to eat with it like salad, more veg, noodles? 3) My main was steak and chips. That’s all the dish is made up of; again, I’d expect some added vegetable for a £30 meal; maybe peas, or mushrooms? If these were available, they weren’t offered by our waiter. 4) 2 of my friends had a jacket potato instead of chips. Both had to call the waiter over to ask for butter, and he brought just one little packet for each. This wasn’t enough; jacket spuds need butter! One friend left half of his potato as it was butter-less and the waiter didn’t come back again. 5) my dessert was banoffee cheesecake, there was a bit of banana and a drizzle of caramel, but it really just tasted of standard cheesecake; I expected more! 6) Finally we were told a few days before our meal that a major food supplier had closed down and a restricted menu would be available. It was a decent menu but did lack Xmas spirit. I’d have thought a little discount for diners who didn’t cancel and go elsewhere might have been nice. We did ask, but were told no. Not somewhere I’d want to return to.

Just ordered a pizza not long ago ,as usual it was beautifull ,and they even gave some nice coleslaw complimentry. But most of all there service is spot on from the lady who spoke to me to change something on my order and the lovey guy who delivered my order very nice and polite . Thanks ivan ,gedling

The food here is amazing. The burger is cooked perfectly. And the choices of burgers is just incredible. 25 to choose from. However it is very hard to get a table. Make sure you book. And the service is very slow. I waited a hour for my food. But trust me. It's worth the wait!!

I've been to Soulville on many occasions and find the manager very helpful and polite. The young staff are nice and friendly.
