The best restaurants serving American food in South East

Moving to a vast industrial brewery with no atmosphere at all must be one of the worst business decisions made by this company. I tried to get served, with no joy with that and the small of urine where I was sitting made it a completely dismal experience. So I simply walked out. Used to go the St Mary’s Butts all the time but they’ve lost a loyal customer. Just goes to show, they don’t care.

The location is fantastic, but the service wasn’t. Weren’t a very happy bunch. They’re were very slow in getting your drinks. There is something missing. Ironic their WiFi password is pub of the year, but it is the worst pub we have been this year (Jan 2025)

New Management have completely turned this pub around, warm friendly and chatty staff. A lovely little new music venue that actually caters to young and old. They even offer vegan cocktails!!!! Was told by one of the new managers that live music is part of the new image now so will be back for their open mic for sure and their nachos topped off my night.

Great menu choices, lots to choose from. Our meals arrived in a timely manner tasted great. Service was excellent.

This is the best all day breakfast in Hove and Babs is the greatest waitress in the world! 😀 I usually head to Richards with a mate of mine and Babs gives us top service - always with a laugh and smile but usually with a song and dance! In fact, we usually only head for Richards when we know she’ll be serving (Saturday’s), as she is such a fundamental part of the experience. The rest of the staff are fantastic too and usually Richard will make time to come over for a chat. This is a busy cafe with a great atmosphere, so if you head here, relax, enjoy and appreciate a unique and fun experience.

I've dined here on a few occasions now and unfortunately this time was the worst. I've had amazing experiences and I have loved the food here so much but this time round I was disappointed to see that the quality had reduced a lot. They don't bring out any of the lovely bread anymore, instead they just bring some small cup of broth from the cheeky ramen their sister restaurant. Not a fire pit standard at all. Now it's just a standard restaurant in my opinion. In the past, The rice which was my all time favourite food ever and now its just an average rice dish, not to mention they don't stir in the egg for you anymore which ruins the experience. The lamb was too sweet, being advertised as sweet I understand but this wasn't tasty. The Chinese takeaway is better. We left half of it and I let our waiter know that the food wasn't good and even one half cold and she didn't care at all. The standards have slipped so much I'm so disappointed. She did tell me there is another menu change happening soon so hopefully it will be better as the menu from January was 100% better. Not to mention they've had to drop their prices from the beginning of the year probably to make up for the drop of the quality. The presentation however is still great. The bill still came to about £70 for two small rice and small. portion of lamb and a wine.

Buena comida, excelente ubicación en el corazón de North Lanes Brighton, personal increíblemente amable, rápido, eficiente y servicial, muy asequible y si no te sentías “fresco” antes de ir (como en joven, de moda, popular “fresco”) que sin duda lo haces para el momento en que te vas después de escuchar la amplia gama de música fresca, comer la comida más descuidada e interactuar con el personal joven y amable cara a cara súper organizado rápido y eficiente! ¡Satisfacen sus necesidades en términos de salsas, bebidas, condimentos incluso antes de darse cuenta! Adam y Ben son geniales y vale la pena su peso en oro administrando el lugar magníficamente y Alicia nos sirvió hoy y era tan encantador que te sentiste como en casa para cuando te sentaste. La actitud es una pequeña cosa que hace una gran diferencia y es una actitud cálida y amigable positiva que se obtiene aquí. ¡Gracias a todos! A true hidden gem in the Horsham area! This diner is slightly away from the main town and not really accessible on foot/public transport, but is absolutely worth the trip only ten minutes drive from the town centre. A small venue, for which pre-booking is essential due to limited space, has a great retro-Americana vibe and portion sizes to match. Everything is generously prepared and well priced. There is seating in diner-style booths, or open seating (we were in a booth, my favourite!) The owner and staff were welcoming and friendly and our orders swiftly taken then the food and drinks came quickly after that. I had ribs, the first time I've ever had some so tender I really could eat them with a knife and fork as the meat fell off the bone with a touch, and was delicious. My wife (who's gluten free) had plenty to choose from and enjoyed her large helping of chicken. (So generous that we had to take the leftovers home with us.) We've visited several times and always really enjoyed ourselves. The pricing is affordable enough to visit regularly, but the portions so generous that if you do you'll need to increase your exercise regimen to balance it out. PS I'm not kidding about the pre-booking thing. They make this really clear on all their promotional material, but you MUST email or phone ahead to book or risk being turned away.

I was staying in the appartments next door to this Pub for the month of October. I was told not to Park in the Top House Car Park and indeed did not - as I didnt have a car with me! My family did on occasion drive into the entrace of the Car Park to pick me up - they didnt Park, turn the car engine off or get out of the car, They were stopped for about 90 seconds, On each occassion somone came ut of the pub and told them that we would be recieving a GBP100 fine for doing this. I had consided having dinner at the Pub while I was staying but because of this decided not.

fantastic food in this place lovely skotch burgers and fish and chips best ever highly reccomend to anyone this is without doubt the best fish and chip shop in the area or hard to believe anywhere better than this place

Awful customer service. For such a small business, that I’ve heard good things about, their customer service is really bad. Not sure if he’s the owner, but he was rude. A smile would go far it’s not hard :) x

Great food, absolutely love it, as well as lovely customer service. The freak shake is out of this world! would recommend for any new customer!

On family evening out we looked for restaurant nearby and found this diamond restaurant. wonderful warm greeting, attentive staff, great menu, home cooking of great food done simply. 6 stars from us, A giant star from each of our party who enjoyed mains and delightful desserts. recommend a visit
