Looking for a light bite at lunch time and found Marse. We all had the combo bowl, every different item was delicious and we all struggled to find a favourite. On balance mine was the summer roll. We managed to sit outside and the service was with a smile. We will return next time we are in Winchester, it was a real flavour treat.

We went for lunch on a Saturday (the day being important) and ended up walking away without even reaching our table. We'd booked a table for 2pm on the understanding that the restaurant would be open all afternoon - I've cut and pasted the following from their website 2 minutes ago ...... Saturday - Open All Day 12-10 pm We arrived 15 mins late, for which we apologised, and were told that the kitchen was closing shortly and we'd have to be out of the restaurant by 3pm as it closed at that time on a Saturday. So that gave us approx 30 minutes to order, eat and pay. That obviously wasn't going to happen so we left and found somewhere else to eat. This clearly isn't the first time this has happened as the lady on the reception desk told us she's told the owner several times that the website opening hours need changing. The booking system also seems to allow bookings up to 2.4 5pm on Saturdays, so something really is amiss. If we'd made a special visit to Winchester just to eat at this restaurant we'd have kicked up more of a stink. As it was we were just really frustrated and annoyed at having to find somewhere else last minute.

Until today Bangkok Bistro was our favourite restaurant for Thai food in Winchester, but we decided to try Tanoshii Fusion today and it's now firmly in the No 1 position! As per the name the food is a fusion of Asian cuisine but it's Thai that we prefer. We had a Thai Green King Prawn curry, Tamarind Duck, King Prawn Pad Thai and sticky rice. All dishes were cooked and presented beautifully. There wee plenty of Prawns in both dishes and the duck was a single piece with leg and breast and with a nice crunch to the skin. The bill was very reasonable. Although the restaurant is a little way out of town, it is not far at all and definitely worth the stroll up the hill.

We've ordered a takeaway from this restaurant 3 times. The first time it was ok, the second time it was really good, but the third time will ensure we never order from here again. The pork in the sui mai dumplings was completely raw and the chow mein noodles had no flavour, despite opting for spice. The spring rolls were also soggy. But mainly it was the raw meat... š¤¢

Thought this would be an excellent choice for lunch, but unfortunately this was not the case. From the moment we arrived the greeter tried to explain how things worked but we could not understand him nor did he want to repeat himself. He just kept scribbling on the paper on our table. Despite asking for large drinks they seemed to be small glasses. The food we ordered was well cooked, good quality and enjoyable.overall disappointing service and drinks and unlikely to comeback to this particular restaurant.

The worst meal I have ever had in a restaurant. The only good thing was the cheery waitress. We were served the wrong curry (I had asked for a mild one, but it wasn't) and then the contents consisted of large pieces of carrot and potato in an unpleasant sauce. With just one lemonade ordered, we felt totally ripped off paying Ā£48 and will not be returning.

We have been using this restaurant for take away every weekend also during the week at times but after the experience we had tonight I will never go back . We ordered our take away as usual and my husband went to collect it . On collection he noticed that the price was expensive when all we ordered was a curry sauce with no chicken, which was meant to be large but the container was half filled and the Red Naga special rice was not the normal one but one that was so hot you could not eat it ā¦ ( it had chicken threw it also and when we ordered it was made clear it was vegetarian) when we usually order the special rice it is yellow not red . We rang the Red Naga and said Ā£20.00 was very expensive for a rice ( even though it was large ) and a curry sauce ( no chicken which) and a Nan bread . We went back to pick up a special rice and the worker in there was very very rude to my daughter and myself when explaining the price to which I ask him why we were charged for a chicken curry with no chicken as it was just a sauce to which he said to me ā you listen here madam ā how dare he speak to me like that . I told him they had lost our trade from now on to which it didnāt bother him one little bit . I donāt understand how they can afford to loose trade when in the whole restaurant there were only about 4 tables of customers even at this time of year when everywhere else is extremely busy. I think they need to look at their staff and the way they speak to customers and maybe they will find out why they are not as busy as other Indian Restaurants. Very very rude staff no customer service at all . Will never be back and they have also lost the trade from my family as well . How dare he speak to anyone like that it s not acceptable at all .
