The best restaurants serving Asian food in Lichfield West Midlands

Excellent meals, massive portions and the staff are great well worth the money and the wait yummy from start to finish

We were in Lichfield for one night and decided to try Lal Bagh for an evening meal. So pleased we did, the staff were friendly, there was a good atmosphere, the menu had lots of choices and our food was delicious. If we lived nearer we'd be frequent visitors. I recommend.

Ordered a delivery and food was 90 mins late. Couldn't taste the difference between pathia or massala. So much oil ... I would never order again

I'll start with the good news the food was nice but expensive and the staff were good. However, the owner has a booking system which charges deposits per person £10 fair enough for no shows, but 8/10 turned up, had a nice meal, and paid close to £500. The owner's response when asked why he didn't credit the full £100 deposit was i don't have to as they didn't turn up so pay up. Not the greatest management style a shame as i won't be going again nor can i recommend this for larger bookings. Be aware as no excuses will be acceptable to Basil Fawlty ( Nowka Towers )

We went to Lee Garden for a New Year’s lunch and were very positively surprised by the staff’s attentiveness and professionalism. Lee Garden has got lovely premises and the food was much better than your average Chinese restaurant. I’d especially recommend trying the Siumai pork dumplings, which were a great starter.

Phoned for a takeaway delivery, at 6.15pm, £35 or thereabouts, was told it could be up to 2 hours, fair enough, they were busy, had no problem with that. Not turned up by 8.30pm so phoned and was told it was with the delivery driver, great we thought. 9.45 we gave up . Why didn't they have the decency to tell us they weren't bothering with our order when we phoned? We have used them several times in the past but not again.

Missed out a item on my order. I called them to say It hadn't been sent and they told me they would send another one out shortly. No one arrived. I won't be using these again. Shocking service.

A difficult review to write as I have really rated this place. .I have been vegetarian for 30 years and never eaten any meat. I ordered a vegetarian yuk sung by phone and they repeated the order back to me . I ate over half and thought there was vegetarian meat in it which I was pleased about as it wasn't like usual yuk sung with crispy noddles etc . I suddenly felt like maybe I should check .. as it had a slight chicken taste ( vegetarian meat is so good now , it’s hard to know). I called them and they said no there were only vegetable in it .. I told them categorically that there was meat In it. They came back to check and the lady was quite snappy and said I had ate the curry . My husband had had the curry ( with chicken it) and this was not curry . She slapped £7 in my hands and walked off … no apology. I spent alll the night feeling extremely sick. It is a shame as to be honest I have always enjoyed this place in the place, non greasy, nice flavours
