Catering supplied to our home for a family birthday party. The quality of the buffet was excellent, delivered on time and well received by all our guests. We could enjoy the occasion more knowing the catering was sorted - many thanks to Becky and the team

Visited this place today. Indifferent staff serving overpriced 'food'. Having waited ages for our order to be served hot chocolate turned up warm. I complained and all they did was return original drink but overheated. Having waited another 10 minutes had to chase them for the rest of our order which they had forgotten about. Overall we waited about 25 minutes and when it did eventually arrive even that was wrong. By which time we'd given up and ate what we received. Definitely will not return.

Cosy pub with rooms round the back so no noise. The room was clean, warm and had everything we needed. The pub itself is really cosy, with good selection of beers, lagers and even mulled wine! Breakfast was great, service was quick and staff were super friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here and thanks to all the team! :) Ps the pub and the rooms are dog friendly.

We ended up in Newark feeling very hungry, having found the A17 from Norfolk surprisingly void of good cafes. Not been to Newark before and, I'll be honest, the first place we tried, so I can't compare with what's around. However, what we wanted was a place that did a sensible (not too fancy, not too greasy spoon) vegetarian breakfast god coffee and was dog friendly. We had the vegetarian and vegan breakfasts. The veg sausages were particularly good and we all left satisfied and full. We're sticklers for a really good coffee and this was definitely firmly in the good coffee category. Friendly service, really quick and you can see them cooking in the kitchen. The Quiches for the day we're being baked and if we come back, we'll give them a try for sure.

The restaurant itself is accessible, providing you don’t need to use any facilities (toilets). If you’re in a wheelchair then you can forget it. After a lovely meal I needed to use the toilet before we left as we had a 40 min drive back home. But there was no disabled/accessible toilet. My partner highlighted this to the staff and the manager came. She asked me if I wanted to use the gents! She said she would block it off for me. For context I am a young women. It’s unsafe for me without using grabrails. I ended up having to travel half a mile away and use some dark and dingy disabled toilets up the road!

We managed to find an indoor table for 2, by the counter, after an invigorating walk at Cuber Gap. It was quite full for lunch and some had even gone outside in the marquee. The homemade soup was good and the rustic baguettes were filling and tasty. Good service, thanks

Stayed here overnight, the room was beautiful and spotless ditto bathroom. We opted to eat in the restaurant and the food was delicious and plentiful, it’s probably the best vegetarian lasagne I’ve eaten, there was a good choice for vegetarians , my husband really enjoyed the gammon. We were both so full we couldn’t manage a pudding. The bar was really busy but we couldn’t hear a word from our room. I slept for nearly 9 hours which is rare for me. The staff were attentive but not overbearing, they are certainly an asset to the business that’s for certain. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Today we had a family Sunday roast at The Carpenters today with my Brother and SisterinLawwho live in Lincoln. We're from Surrey. The food and service was superb and can not be faulted. I had my 1st Christmas dinner of the year. Everyone else had the roast pork. Thank you to the delightful staff who treated us with professionalism and great humour. We're due back to Lincoln later this year and will be returning to The Carpenters Fiskerton. Nowhere else will do!!!!

Visited for the first time with friends for afternoon tea and what a delight. So much food we all had doggy bags to take home! Food was fresh and delicious with unlimited tea and coffee in lovely surroundings. Will certainly be back very soon
