The best restaurants serving British food in Huntingdonshire East of England

Came here on a bit of a whim one week as we’d heard about the Quiz Night being hosted and have been back every week since. Andy and Helen (and Milly!) are great owners and make everyone in the pub feel welcome. Different food vans are brought in each week to add variation and the quiz and table service on drinks just add to the atmosphere. If you’re ever around, go down and check it out. It’s a great pub and run brilliantly!

Ordered the spiced Cajun chicken burger. Appreciate the use of actual chicken breast, not a premade patty. However the chicken was dry and bland without the sauce. They could have done a dry brine to make it moist and flavorful. Burger came with one Roma tomato slice and a single leaf of lettuce. Disappointing and do not recommend this dish. At least chips and cider were good.

They are very friendly because they asked me a trial before buying a pint. However at that time they did not provide any food probably because of Christmas… if I caught their words properly…

Sunday carvery, rung to book. Was told not taking bookings. Arrived to be told an hour wait which is expected. Group of 7 then had to be split up. Carvery was luke warm. Veg was like rubber. Stuffing was like mash potato. Poor food.

What a little find! Only found on the off chance when I did not fancy the well known high street pie and sausage role shop, once we went in! The gent serving us was nice, as was the lady doing the cooking. Both lovely to their customers who clearly come in regularly. We had a cooked breakfast and a bacon roll. Both very good value for money and the Cappuccino was really nice. Not watery like some. It is not over priced. A couple of the shelves could do with a wipe down, but on the whole it seems clean and well kept. We liked it very much. A nice atmosphere.

Me and the wife often come to Cafe and farm shop, staff are always friendly and helpful, I've never done the zoo part (first born pending) but there's always lots of families and smiles so would definitely recommend. We've dined a fair bit in the restaurant and always enjoyed our experience - whether it's an evening out or a day trip out with the family, you'll love to visit and come back for more!

Food is always fresh and hot mainly cooked to order. Reasonable priced, owners very friendly. Worth a visit if you're in the area of Fenstanton, Fen Drayton, Hilton St ives.

Great value, quality and service. I've loved this place for years. The carvery is always hot, well stocked and fresh. Chef also had a plate of fresh peas sent to our table as not on the carvery at the time c/o one of the waitresses. A simple touch but much appreciated.

Had Sunday lunch last week. Hard to fault

A nice little place with friendly staff, you can get food, but you need to check times, as its not all day, they have pizza too. The locals seemed friendly and it was nice just to hang out.

Came here with family members and enjoyed the meal - mostly! The Christmas menu looked very attractive for two courses and we had the garlic mushrooms which was a huge serving and delicious. The lamb shanks and the turkey dinner also nicely cooked and good value. Only problem was we arrived at 5.20pm and I would not recommend eating as early as this as there were very few people there and the place was very cold, no radiators on. They were put on after we complained, and we only warmed up as we finished our meal and a lot more people arrived to a place that by then was warm!! Service was very good.
