The best restaurants serving British food in Barnack Peterborough East of England

Excellent training restaurant for Stamford College students. The waiters are somewhat nervous, but absolutely trying their best, so any slight faux pas should be accepted (eg our waitress forgot the bread). The food quality was of a good standard, say 7/10: mackerel pate (maybe a little firm), ox cheek (very succulent, the stand-out dish), fish and chips (excellent crispy beer batter), and rice pudding (a little bland to be honest, but tasty accompanying compote). Would certainly return, well done students and staff.

A great time as always at the Millstone, the food and service continues to impress, so I thought I’d finally say that here!

Good selection of meat. A little smile from staff would made a big difference

Disappointing, bad service, food took an hour to be served after ordering, cold inside pub. Staff members delivered bare minimum service, they looked unbothered, unmotivated. We arrived and the staff member behind the bar avoided eye contact as we walked in, and said finally after taking a slow amount of time to pour a coke for another customer said timidly.. ' can i help'... Can you help? What do you think we are here for? what is this default response that is so Unhelpful. Staff members should welcome new guests by saying confidently, 'hello, welcome!' and followed by if they are busy saying 'I will be with you in a moment'! Staff members should be encouraged to welcome guests and employ confidence. We occasionally go out for lunch together and I rarely leave reviews however our 'occasional' lunches are often met with a disappointing waste of money. What a shame.

Just had Christmas afternoon tea at The Orangery. The staff were friendly the food very nice, however we were seated in the side conservatory which was cold and devoid of any kind of Christmas atmosphere or decoration. Burghley always looks lovely at Christmas I don’t understand why they can’t make more of an effort with the part of the Orangery.

Después de unos pocos números con vale Buyagift (no los recomiendo! ) reservamos en para el té de la tarde en The Granary & bien valió la pena la espera. Los bocadillos eran deliciosos, el pan fresco y el jamón era particularmente bueno. Luego comimos algunos trozos salados, lo que hace una buena adición, el mejor rollo de salchicha que he probado durante años y pastel de cerdo. Los bollos eran grandes y de nuevo delicioso y una variedad de mermeladas para elegir. Terminé llevando el pastel a casa como demasiado lleno para comer, esperando tenerlo un poco más tarde.
