The best restaurants serving British food in South Norfolk East of England

First time I tried this place,was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff were,some lovely choices off cakes and some great looking sausage Rolls.I had a bacon and sausage sandwich with side salad which was lovely,nice to see they use proper thick and soft bread.The only downside which isn’t that bad was that there was no salad cream only mayonnaise for the salad.

Lovely little cafe. They were just closing the kitchen when we five cyclists turned up, and stayed open to provide baked potatoes all round. Great food, nice people.

A wonderful meal! What a treat! Perfectly presented and cooked. We didn't know what to expect but were delighted with everything which we ordered. We cant wait to go again to try more of the specialities on offer! Don't be put off by the lack of prices on the website - that was another surprise, and great value for money. Fellow Norfolk diners you are missing out! Wonderful food at very reasonable prices in comfortable surroundings - We loved it. Thank you to all concerned.

The staff were very friendly and the cream tea was excellent, so nice to see a business supporting adults with different needs giving them a real purpose and a chance to excel

Visited for Sunday lunch. We have been before & this time was still a pleasure. A warm greeting & it continued with the knowledgable professional staff. Their attentiveness throughout the meal, the delivering to the table those little extras of canapés & warm fresh rolls not requested… gratis..such a simple but lovely touch. The meal was lovely, I had the chicken & it was so tender, others had the pork equally as tender with a touch of crackling.I could go on but nothing disappointed. All with a lovely warm ambiance to sit unhurried to enjoy.

We would like to thank the staff for making our groups Christmas meal such a lovely experience. Looking forward to 2025. All the best to everyone from Geoff & Jayne Lanchester Court.

I think its gone downhill. Its a bit tired looking now. Service was variable, (greeting and taking order was very matter of fact) vegetables were undercooked, ( not just al dente) modest meat portion. for the pub food you get its also a bit overpriced. When you get a big menu like here you know there will be a lot of short cuts. Tables can be quite squeezed Have eaten here a reasonable amount because in this area there is not a huge choice and it does have a good sized car park. Bottom line not worth going out of your way for.

Really good Sunday roast, good portion but not cheap, the dessert was only average but the young waiters were very polite and helpful.

Really good fish and chips, and friendly service

My Granddad, Ron Henery (R.I.P.), wouldn’t settle for anything but Lims. I’ve been coming here since I was a lad, barely tall enough to see over the counter. Every time I visit Loddon, it brings back cheerful memories. The chips are excellent, and the fish is, without a doubt, the best by a country mile.

We came on 14/10/24 for a family wake. Mandy and Simon did an amazing job of making the room welcoming and accommodating us with all our wishes. The service and food were of excellent quality with a very fair price and there was plenty for all. It was so nice that even the cakes were iced in the favourite colours of our late family member, not requested but we felt was such a lovely added touch. Thank you Mandy and Simon, we would definitely recommend you.

The food was amazing , everything was cooked beautifully and the staff were very attentive and informative . Amazing value for a set 2 or 3 course with just the right size menu to choose from . You know if a menu is too vast it’s not doable for the chef to be all his own work . Thank you everyone . We had a lovely evening
