The Bicycle is consistently fabulous in every way. Menu uses very fresh seasonal food, presented beautifully and tasting top notch. The wine menu is carefully curated and Brian will explain the characteristics of a good wine to pair with our food choice. The welcome from Kerry, Brian and their staff is always genuine and warm. Restaurant atmosphere is very customer-focused and comfortable. I highly recommend The Bicycle for high quality, variety and everything I hope a good restaurant experience would be. Don't forget to book a taxi to get home .... then simply relax and enjoy.

We had such a lovely meal in a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food was excellent as usual we would highly recommend to anyone.

Stopped at The Rosebud for a late lunch on a day out in Brightlingsea, what a find! Good food, generous portions and friendly staff. Will be back.

The best fish I have ever eaten in my life, waiters, very good food, very good cleanliness, magnificent togolets, everything is perfect, the fish is very nice, everything is very nice.

We visited this cafe/restaurant whilst visiting family in clacton. They use this lace a lot and we took them there for breakfast as they recommended it. We got a table straight away. We got the menus quickly, we ordered drinks and then our food. The waiting staff were all so friendly and polite. The food we had was very good, fresh and very hot. It was a good price for us all to have breakfast and drinks.

I had the steak pie, my wife had the roast beef, all very nice. Very friendly staff, we will be going back soon. it has a licence witch is a bonus if you like a glass of wine with your meal.

Takeaway pie and mash is always consistently good. Service is usually friendly apart from today. Whoever served me wanted to be somewhere else.

Great fish and chips with trimmings and very good quality. Licenced, so could have a drink with our meal. Emma was excellent, warm, friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back

A day out in Harwich meant we stumbled across The Samuel Pepys Bar. How lucky we were. A warm welcome and some cracking food to enjoy. Haddock and Chips was very good indeed and the cheesecake had the two Cs (cream and crunch) lovely. Had an accident with a spilt pint but no drama as it was dealt with efficiently and professionally, excellent stuff. Would we return. Absolutely, thanks for a lovely afternoon

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, great staff and a yummy New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc at great prices. We recommend it.

Absolutely delighted to see dukes back up and running with fab decor ,great menu and lovely staff ,totally worth a visit. Was extremely busy so glad we had booked.

We happened upon this cafe during a bike ride and stopped for lunch. The beans on toast, a full English and veggie chilli were all really tasty. We decided to return the next morning for breakfast and, between the three of us, enjoyed both types of pancakes (the berry option and the bacon option) and salmon and scrambled eggs. Staff were friendly and food was good. No kids menu that we could see but I think they’d have offered a smaller portion if we’d asked for it. Not local but if staying in the area again we’d definitely return.

Stopped here for an impromptu lunch which was absolutely superb. Due to having our large Newfoundland dog with us we sat outside where there was a dog bowl of fresh water. The two ladies who served us were lovely and our meals were excellent. I had the Chicken, Mushroom and Leek pie with mash and vegetables. The pie was probably one of the best I have ever had and the mash and veg were perfectly cooked. My wife had the chicken burger which she said was fantastic. When we return to Frinton we will definitely eat here again.

We stayed for one night in our tent. The facilities were great - clean and tidy washing facilities and roomy pitches. The pub staff are very friendly. We had an evening meal which was superb. The tapas portions were large and delicious and quite refined. We also had fish and chips super fresh and light crispy batter.
