The best restaurants serving British food in Watford East of England

As we are on THE FORK we found this restaurant and with a 92% outstanding rating we decided to try it. I had teriyaki salmon and stir fry veg, my hubby had lamb shank mash and veg. Delish..omg so delish. Dessert was a pineapple and passion fruit pavlova yummmm Jax thanks for your help. Staff are wonderful and place is spotless. Will be back

Truly deserves 5 stars in all aspects. Delivers what it says on the tin. Great ambience, bright, airy and modern in beautiful setting. Great cafe style food and wonderful service. Rocky our waiter was wonderful - very attentive and friendly. A hidden gem I would say.

I always have a relaxing time at Villiers. This is a cozy and laidback café, with a lot of different treats on offer that cater to a variety of diets. There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. I was very appreciative that I could choose between a few flourless snacks. I’ve had the flapjack, the cheesecake, and the salted caramel brownie, all of which I enjoyed. Shoutout to the barista Anna, who always ensures that the gluten free goodies I get are handled safely so I can enjoy them without getting a reaction! The coffee is very good, and I can't complain when there's nice latte art. I don’t love that the latte is served in a glass instead of a mug, but that's more of a preference than a comment on the quality. It tastes great regardless! In short: very nice and recommend!

I went today at 8/01/2024,I went as a friend had told me about how helpful the owners are with people who are struggling with the basics like food and it took a lot of courage to ask for help.However when I arrived and I arrived in the specified time I was not even able to explain why I was there when I was just told were closed and the person then completely ignored me,I know I'm not entitled to hand outs this is a service which they do not have to provide however because I came to use the service does not mean I am not entitled to be treated how they would like to be treated and from what my friend told me they were the most caring empathetic people who work there but this was not what I found I understand people can have a bad day but it made me feel embarrassed and ashamed that I had come.

Nice pub with a great selection of beer. Staff are friendly and the food is great. Worth a visit!

Been to several of these restaurants and always have great service with great food

We came to the Escourt Arms for a work night out. Kelly and Tommy were fantastic. Amazing friendly service all round and I couldn’t recommend this pub further. Thank you guys for a good night!

Fantastic venue with live music and a great atmosphere! Very friendly staff since the revamp and change in management.

Won't be ordering from here ever again after finding mouldy cheese in my omelette disgusting! Put me off for good never had problem with their food was always good until now!

Poor, 3 occasions. 3 bad experiences. Will not use again as if the service I experienced is a reflection of their food preparation and hygiene I can only assume that is as bad. Anyhow their loss and will still to the places I have used in the past and let them profit from my business. Well done

Our visit was a very pleasant experience, nice food, great atmosphere and polite friendly service by Vicky, chelsie and Artan. Always a pleasure to visit this restaurant. All the staff here are always very welcoming. Cannot fault this venue. Harvester Garston is consistently 5 star in all categories, food, drinks, service and atmosphere.continuous standards are high.

Came in for lunch, had the buy on get one free on the burgers. Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Eat there at least once a week.
