The best restaurants serving British food in Lambeth London

This places continues to be absolutely excellent and underrated. It’s a brilliant cafe (and priced well for the quality), an outstanding specialist grocer and with an excellent butcher in the basement. Staff are friendly, food is great and there is a surprisingly spacious indoor area to eat.

Unusually, they provided delicious vegan food. Friendly staff. No complaints.

Rustic, cozy and really beautiful here!! If you're looking for a cozy pub that isn't overrun with tourists, this is the place for you. And because of its size, you can quickly start talking to others and are not anonymous like in other pubs.

This has now become our go to local pub for food, the menu is diverse (with great vegetarian /vegan options) and really tasty, especially the puddings, the staff are always really friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and the most recent refurbishment is lovely, really airy and thoughtful for the venues long history.

I'm sure it's a lovely pub. Unfortunately because the opening hours listed online are wrong I've yet to manage to try it out despite 3 attempts.

Esta es nuestra segunda visita a Maries y NO nos decepcionó. La comida es tan sabrosa, el servicio tan amable y un lugar tan maravilloso. Estaba lleno, la gente esperando fuera que creo que refleja la comida maravillosa. . Los sabores y olores comieron INCREÍBLE. Nada de lujos, vino BYO, y disfruta. We've been holding our casual annual Christmas meal here (small group of 5), and over the years we've had great and less great experiences. However this year it was wonderful - the service was great, food great, and due to some table layout changes, it felt much roomier. It also wasn't as loud, yet still a good vibe so we weren't shouting to hear one another which for lunchtime, is ideal! Thanks TA team!

Gran cafetería sin cadena muy cerca de la parte trasera de la estación de Waterloo. Muy bueno para reunirse con amigos y reuniones informales de negocios desde el desayuno en adelante. Buen desayuno y servicio eficiente. Asiento exterior.

Fue a comer sin fondo sentado arriba con vistas al Támesis. La comida era muy buena y el Prosecco simplemente siguió llegando. La única desventaja era que el restaurante tenía una decoración muy sosa y no había música de fondo, así que el ambiente era un poco plano. Aparte de eso, una experiencia brillante!

Llewellyn’s claramente tiene sus fans. Solo lamento que la impresión positiva que ha dado a otros nos haya evadido. La comida era decente, pero nada especial. Los precios de la comida y el vino son muy altos (4 libras por 4 pequeñas rebanadas de pan). Sugiero que a estos precios los mecenas tienen derecho a algo mucho más memorable. En nuestro caso fue extremadamente olvidable (¡que no sea el tamaño de la factura!): no volveremos.

I have been going to the hamlet for years and have loved it, however the last experience will be my LAST time- due to the rude and dismissive manager. Booked a table online for 2:30pm unbeknown to use the Resturant didn’t open until 4pm so when we arrived everything was closed. So we went to a cafe across the road to wait for 1.5 hours. When we came back at 4pm we mentioned the error to the manager politely as we where being seated and she was rude, had an unpleasant attitude, was dismissive and brushed us off basically it was our fault as they don’t open until 4pm - we’ll if that’s the case then there’s clearly an ERROR with YOUR website. We then ordered drinks but after the negative interaction with the female manager the atmosphere was off. We ordered 1 round of drinks and they weren’t the usual standard (Mai TAi tasted like Pure orange juice was missing some syrup) went to the bar to ask to add a lil syrup and was told that that’s how it should taste !! The cheek of it !! Its my favourite drink I know how it should taste- so we left straight after. Very disappointing experience in my opinion the manager is very defensive and needs customer service training to de-escalate situations rather than escalate them and the bartender was a lil Heavy on the juice no big problem but if a customer is telling you something you should take notice and try and resolve the issue.

He pedido tantas veces que ponga un poco de calefacción pero siempre obtener la misma respuesta "vamos a tomar el dinero de toda la familia y realmente no le importa si tienes 87 años madre tiene frío. ¡Solo visita este pub en verano cuando no tienen que pagar una factura de calefacción! Asqueroso, no recomendaría 100%.

Y mi flatmates establecido una tradición de comer brunch en panes, etc. para nuestros cumpleaños tan pronto como nos trasladamos a cerca de Clapham.
