The best restaurants serving British food in Darlington North East

Absolutely dreadful meal Went for a birthday meal with my family Basic menu, waited 45 minutes for our meal and only one girl on the bar and serving I ordered lasagne that was burnt and dried out and the pasta was like mashed potato, the garlic bread was also burnt and the salad was swimming in dressing My husband ordered steak pie that was full of salt and the vegetables were hard My son and daughter in law ordered the burger which was a cheap tasting burger with cheese and loads of garlic they ended up leaving it The food was served by an harassed kitchen staff and when we looked in the kitchen it looked unclean and chaotic

The most tasty warm chicken roll I have ever eaten. I try to visit once a week, but this particular visit was an exception I think it’s the most tasty sandwich I have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection and the service is great as always Highly recommended

Hatch es uno de los mejores lugares donde he estado para almorzar. En primer lugar, nos dieron una cálida bienvenida por el personal súper amable y servicial que nos consiguió un asiento muy rápido. El café en sí era muy luminoso, luminoso y muy acogedor con una bonita decoración juvenil. Pedimos un Chai Latte y un Vanilla Latte. El Chai se servía en una taza sobre una tabla de madera con jarabe de cortesía, terminado con lindo arte del café con leche. El café con leche de vainilla también estaba bien presentado y tenía un sabor increíble. Para la comida optamos por el desayuno sándwich de Brioche y Chorizo. El brioche se llenaba cómodamente de carnes de calidad. Los proveedores aparecen en la parte posterior del menú, muchos de los cuales son empresas independientes, lo que es un buen toque. El sándwich de chorizo se sirvió con papas fritas sidewinder y una ensalada, que eran muy frescos, orgánicos y hechos para una vez más un almuerzo / almuerzo cómodamente lleno. Definitely the best Cafe in Darlington without a doubt, the menu choice, the food, the service is excellent top marks. I have been coming to this cafe for over a year now. This cafe should continue with same staff, service, menu choices and food. Best In Darlington by far. It would be an injustice and a tragedy if it was to close or change.

I visited last week. The shop had good reviews and was fairly close to where I was staying. I bought haddock and chips. The main problem was a soggy, greasy batter. This had soaked through to the meat of the fish so it no longer retained its beautiful whiteness. The chips were mostly small and hard. One of the worst fish suppers I've ever had. I'm from the North East of Scotland and am used to excellently cooked fish and chips.

What a smashing place for somthing to eat. I have been to the Fox and Hounds quite a few times over the last few months and has always been great food. Tonight I had a double portion of quesadilla's and chunky chips simple but really tasty. I have had pies to roast dinners here and always fantastic. I don't normally write reviews but over the last few months I have tried over a dozen local pubs around Darlington and the Fox and Hounds In Neasham has been the best by far for good honest tasty food, generous portions and nice staff.. I'm sure this is the locals best kept secret. If you fancy some tasty food give this place a try. Will be back again soon.
