Excellent full English breakfast. Lovely surroundings at an excellent price. I am staying 5 minutes away and the hotel breakfast is almost double in price. No brainer!

Four of us dined yesterday in the shorrock room to celebrate our wedding anniversary,having married at Astley Bank in 2017.we arrived to be greeted by Bill who showed us to our table,drinks were ordered as we perused the exciting menu,drinks arrived and starters of Garlick & Parsley mushrooms on sourdough bread with soft poached egg,(tasted amazing ) chicken and black pudding terrine,& crispy duck rolls,were ordered.to be followed by main courses of Goosnargh chicken wrapped with prosciutto ham,roast chump of lamb..(was delicious)panco & sage pork fillet.our starters arrived beautifully presented and oh boy was it good all round..empty plates.after a short break we were served our main courses again the skills of the chefs were evident in the presentation and quality of the food,special mention goes to the lamb dish..it just melted in the mouth,and I’m told the pork dish was delicious,again clean plates were returned to the kitchen.Now for the first time ever we were all agreed although there was a delicious selection of deserts we couldn’t manage another morsel,we finished of with coffees all round.Now iv said it before and I’ll say it again the quality,taste,presentation,of the food at Astley Bank is second to none.the friendliness and professionalism of all those we encountered yesterday was greatly appreciated and this is the reason it’s our chosen venue.although the staff we’re dealing with a wedding in the main restaurant the service we received was exceptional,special thanks must go to Bill.we look forward to seeing you all again soon.thank you Barry.

The food was of poor quality and cold, we choose 4 different meals and we’re all poor and almost cold when it came The staff were friendly never the less

Went in for food and drinks and what a change in the last 2 months, things have gotten better, Food was amazing and the staff are friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble for them, will definitely be visiting again soon

Had a fantastic and relaxing Saturday night at the oahenhurst farm the food and service was spot on will definitely be coming back 👍

We have dined out once a week for many years & my reviews on tripadviser are not always positive. I look for even minor negatives to comment on in my reviews. Considering we live locally i dont know why we have never dined here before. I had creamy garlic mushrooms starter & it was the most enjoyable i have EVER had. We both had chicken stroganoff which was also excellent followed by a salted caramel cheesecake (average to good) Service also was faultless & at £51 for both of us with 2 halves of laager was a bargain ...so much so i left a £5 tip. My friends rib me for being tight & my partner felt my forehead after , thinking i was delirious !! All in all i was well impressed ...a return visit is definite

Went with friends for a lunch time meal. Large menu with lots of specials too. Service was friendly and fast. Nice warm fire and really hot and tasty food. Stunning views too. We will be back!

Amazing atmosphere and great food with staff that are always welcoming and friendly easy too park and food is always fresh 100% somewhere worth trying no disappointment here

Decided to have a quick lunch on our way home but sorry I did so Cheap processed food was served The cafe was almost empty on a lovely day which didn't surprise me

Very nice desserts with incredible service. Very welcoming atmosphere, despite it being quite busy. The food was 100%.

Hotel was nice staff friendly and helpful, The room was ok if a little dated some of the bed lights were not working the tv reception was poor. Big clean double bed big bath and shower decent quality towels are provided. Breakfast not sure if they were short staffed no spare tables available to sit at had to ask for the only table to be set coffe available but has to order tea toast and cereal was help yourself But the table still wasn’t set. Two other couples who came in after us were served before us. It was just disjointed the breakfast when it can was hit and plenty full. Now then the tea issue I love my tea in the morning but twice I was told the milk wasn’t off I have never had tea with milk bits floating on the top that to me is unfressh milk but was told it’s because of the full fat milk. Now I’ve been a tea drinker since I was 4 and never had tea like it. But don’t let this put you off as I was a nice hotel if a lack of staff at times Thanks for a nice stay

We were on our way home from Preston and trying to think of a good chippy in Blackburn but sadly we realised all the good ones were no longer open. We came across Cherry Tree chippy but wondered if it would be ok as it’s a Chinese take away ( not that we’re averse to a Chinese) . We ordered steak pud ( Hollands) chips, large mushy peas and large gravy. Theirs plenty of chips for 2 in a portion of chips. It was absolutely delicious and hot even though we were several miles from home. Took a menu and we will certainly be back. Staff really pleasant and quick service.

I've not been here for years and certainly won't call again. The sandwich I got was dry with brown lettuce for salad. The t-cake was big but you could hardly taste the filling as there wasn't enough on it. To say I was disappointed is an under statement.

Found this place by chance called in and and ordered a breakfast barm (sausage bacon egg mushrooms and blackpudding ) and a coffee, all at very good price, the staff were helpful and the place was clean and warm. Would I call again yes if I was in the area
