The best restaurants serving British food in Cheshire East North West

This was our 3rd mid week stay here and as always the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was lovely, best leek and potato soup I’ve had! It’s very trainable price compared to other hotels and restaurant costs (especially for the area it’s in). The restaurant building is lovely with all the old wooden beams showing.

My wife and l stayed here in our Motorhome for one night, we had no problems. On our second day we took a room before our journey home the room was well equipped and the bed was very clean, for the price, we would recommend this establishment. The owner was very welcoming and attentive . I noticed a previous review that gave a poor response to a stay they had all I'll say is you can't please everyone. Karen the owner for us was very friendly and helpful also understanding, our visit to the area was for a family funeral we all found her and the staff very professional considering they had all had some very sad news regarding a member of staff at this time.

Just had a meal here and wow - apart from the brilliant service the food was excellent - very tasty and simply the best beef for a while (coming from a butcher this is well deserved) Recommend the cauliflower starter as well as the Sunday dinners Will definitely be visiting again

La comida se ha puesto cara, en el sitio web de los estados paninis £ 7. 75 , cuando el precio real en el café es superior a 10 libras esterlinas . Tomamos 2 paninis y una olla de té, la cuenta llegó a más de £ 27. Usamos el café de forma regular, pero le echaremos de menos a partir de ahora.

Visited today with my friend what a wonderful meal we had chose gammon poached eggs and chips gammon isn’t my go to food but it was utterly delicious shredded plenty of it and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked staff were lovely and friendly defiantly will be back

I have been visiting the Coffee Tavern for many years and it never fails to please. Great menu, super food whether it’s lunch or dropped scones. Great to sit outside in the summer months and cosy up by the log burner in the winter. Perfect after a good local walk.

Stopped here on the way to the airport and had a great meal. Service and value for money is excellent. Would definitely recommend

Pretty down to earth golfers bar with bar staples such as fish and chips, etc. Lots of people drinking lager in shorts

Went for lunch had fish and chip special quick service, great food, lovely staff, clean place and great food thanks for being great

Lovely breakfast table ready when we walked in. Lovely food and choice also reasonably priced Visit made extra special by waitress who was on duty Sunday 7th July. She was patient with the active children friendly and pleasant. I did not have chance to thank her when we left. Please do so on our behalf

Felt as if we shouldn’t really be there as everything was all too much trouble . If it wasn’t for the location not sure people would bother . SMILE !!!

Large cafe bar with outdoor space. Reasonable menu for breakfast, brunch or lunch. No guinness on tap. Food was good value and service was quick

The first time we went for food it was nice and we gave the chef a compliment which he was happy about. The second time we went we was very disappointed with our service and order. The chef was sat outside with his pals and a bar staff had to go tell him more than once people were waiting. Our order was wrong so it had to go back, and the chef was not happy to the point he was making us feel uncomfortable and a bit nervous They won't be a third time at all. Never again!!!!!

Chips to fatty not hot warm fish could have been better . Eaten better fish I went there because I wanted a liter meal . Served people out of turn in other words crap overall. Will keep going to shavington chippy excellent chip shop
