First visit. Excellent fish & chips perfectly cooked to order very fresh and good value

Absolutely dreadful! The only thing that was good was the drinks! All staff were pleasant but they were clearly understaffed and run off their feet. Food was absolutely shambolic! Never again. Pre ordered as work lunch for 9 people and not complicated orders at all. Just dreadful. Starters were less than sparkly - about 6 tiny prawns in the prawn cocktails. Steaks were like literally tough as old boots, turkey was dubious - not sure it was actually cooked - seemed raw, pink and not cooked through. Waited about 45 minutes between each course and the wait for desserts was ridiculous. All cold desserts and half served before another wait and request as to where they were. To round it off we were charged for 3 courses and not 2 despite the girl on the till asking what we’d had and then confirming with us we’d only had 2 courses. She then went ahead and charged us for 3! We’d paid some deposits and didn’t realise until we’d left that she’d overcharged us. Save your money - don’t bother! Dreadful! Never again!

Just called in for lunch.... it was Saturday afternoon and the pub was freezing.... not heating or warmth.... also food took @ 30mins to arrive.. Chicken burger & steak pie.... the food was LOVELY... I can't say it wasn't, but it's not a nice place to sit comfortably especially with no heat. Each time there is a new owner, we pop in on the hope it gets better... but sadly we wouldn't go again.
