The best restaurants serving British food in Tenterden South Ashford South East

Really very good stay and food was excellent

A real gem! Wish we had this back home. Truly pleasant and warm ambiance. Portions are perfect. If I ever have opportunity, we will definitely come back. The Muscles were to die for.

I am a single woman traveling alone, in charming Tenterden for the first time. I attended the beautiful fair there one Spring morning and finished up at the Lemon Tree as it looked...and is....very old/historic. I was promptly seated, ordered fish and chips. The serving was enormous and delicious. The waiter was very attentive. I think the negative comments are from people who are themselves rude/demanding, and think only of themselves. The service industry is heavy with patients/public who never think beyond what they want, and when (NOW). I had a lovely time and was treated like a queen in a wonderful 14th century environment. Will not be returning. Certain member of staff was disgustingly rude to me and my family. She approached me making comments about my children with an attitude and a sour face. Absolutely vile. The toilets were disgusting and looked like they have never been cleaned before. Floor and surfaces dusty and dirty. Most neglected costa I’ve ever been into. Needs a face life and new staff.

Arranged a Christmas work meal at the Woolpack. They were very patient with the date changes and numbers of people altering as they do. Worked professionally to accommodate. Food was very good! Free bubbles was a nice touch and service was very good. Lovely setting highly recommended!!

Loved the bigger room but it was Hannah T and the rest of the friendly staff that made our stay. Great deal in the off season.
