The place is very pleasant because the store is really big and offers a lot of products and a wide variety. Nevertheless, the restaurant remains pleasant for having a coffee and a cake but when it comes to food, don't expect great cuisine. The minestrone was unfortunately overcooked. The service is very friendly and attentive to customers.

Really good clean and organised wetherspoons pub. We attended on New Years eve and the food was perfectly cooked and delivered in quick time especially considering the time of year, drink was cheap and served in good time. All in all a really good meal

I live not far away but never been before. Friend suggested it so why not? As we weren’t terribly hungry we chose quite simple basic meals, and were both happy with our food. Ive now found another venue to visit for a bite to eat and will definitely return.

10 of us pre booked our annual Christmas get together here. I emailed over the list of people’s choices to give them a heads up. The waiter was very good going through the list and everyone got what they ordered. I ordered Prawn cocktail but as I was previously a chef I know how things are prepared. The prawns were very small and completely tasteless as they were defrosted by running under cold water, not strained properly so when served in the dish there was water at the bottom. Bread roll provided but no butter. Now we come to the Christmas dinner Turkey covered in gravy, 1 very small pigs in blanket, 1 Yorkshire pudding, 1 stuffing ball, pre frozen roast potatoes, dried up peas and burnt carrots. All played and brought to the table…. Cold. Sent it back and received another that was warm but not hot. Well over a hour later along came pudding but you can’t really go wrong with them so no complaints there. We left after finishing, paid the bill, tipped the waiter as the restaurant closed. I was thoroughly disappointed with the food and wished we had chosen just off the normal menu. If I was paying the Christmas Day prices and was served what we had tonight I would be very worried. Such a shame that chefs, cooks or whatever they want to be called can’t take pride in the work.

We went for lunch and sat in a cosy room - one of several scattered around the pub. As it was a Sunday I had to have the roast. This was the only pub from the Picked Egg group that we hadn't visited and we weren't disappointed upon completed the set. The front terrace looks inviting for a warm summer's day too.

The grounds are stunning. The manor house impressive. Staff fantastic. The Manor - restaurant was great service but VERY expensive. The mains are £28 - £32 each and does not include the potatos or veg. The mains are tiny portions. The potatos £6 for a side dish

Queued for 20 minutes and then was told contents of a panini could not be altered (one item needed removing and being replaced by another as my wife has food intolerances). Totally inflexible and unhelpful. Walked out and will never return.

Do yourself a favour - think twice before you eat there. I went with a friend. The chips tasted and looked like they had been cooked in oil earlier in the day and re-heated in a microwave so they were soggy and tasteless and not a lot of effort put into presentation on the whole the food was substandard. The furniture wasn't the best. The chairs needed re-padding and given a good clean. The female staff were polite and helpful. Probably the only positive thing about our visit to the café.

It was ok and thought we had found a real gem, however…….very slim pickings on the menu, 2 of the 6 mains were sold out even at 6pm. So thank good for the specials board. The food good can’t fault that, but don’t have the steak if you like it blue as they won’t accommodate it. Staff were a real struggle though a lovely lad in there but the female side was just god awful. Did not make for a warm welcome and consistently reminded us that they needed the table at a certain time, (which believe you me, we knew already) practically ushered us from our seats, to which made us not want another drink in the bar area. Refused to serve my 22 year old daughter alcohol, even though she had a work lanyard to which they snuffed (hey ho their pub 🤷🏼‍♀️) but not great for her after hard shift on a Saturday!! So no rush at all to go back. Thankfully have found another pub 10 mins away which is just fab!!

Food intolerance now I can't buy from here but remember the egg and bacon roll. Well used . Staff look flustered but it must be hot inside the unit.

This was a fab breakfast with excellent customer service. Even with my children’s allergies. It was still great. Nice.

We used to go in the pub when we was dating, so we went back expecting the same good memories how wrong we , got sat at a table and after about ten minutes the waitress came over for the drinks and food orders , after waiting 15 she came back and asked us have you had your drinks? Even though there was no glasses on the table, so again after a wait they turned up, then we had the long wait for the starter I had scotch egg which tasted of nothing and I wish I had something else the wife had onion soup which she said it wasn’t that nice, then we had the long wait for the main after it turned up I ordered beef roast dinner and pork turned up and it was all cold, the wife had pasta and that was not good at this point we didn’t even start to eat it I got up and went to the bar and complained and said we aren’t going to eat it as it’s cold and not even what I ordered and we waiting too long on , we was in there for 1 hour and 15 min had a starter in this time , I said I would pay for the starter and drinks we had but they said sorry and no payment req , it was such a shame as we had so many good memories but we won’t be going back.
