Just celebrated my mums 85th birthday 🎂 in the best way possible with the most fabulously scrumptious afternoon tea at Lady Scarletts. From the wonderfully warm welcome, a beautifully decorated table in the heart of the tea rooms, full of delicious treats, candles and buckets of tea to the fabulous nostalgic wartime decor and music, a truly emmersive experience. Every attention to detail was made to ensure we celebrated in style and had everything we needed xxx Even Barney our faithful hound was treated to his own special seat at the table and treats! Cant recommend highly enough! If you're in Ventnor this is by far the best place to come for some tasty treats and to step back graciously in time with the quirky decor and the warmest of welcomes. Thankyou so much for making our mums birthday a truly magical and memorable occasion ✨️

Well what can I say, Toni's is a fabulous little tea room located on the sea front. We visited just before lunch as we wanted a snack & a drink. Pobably the best I've visited on the Isle Of Wight, lovely staff, a restful atmosphere and above all, freshly made food. Oh, how could I forget, the beautiful little dog Tolusha, fast asleep on a chair she made her own, bless her. If we are ever back on the IOW, we'll definitely return again. Highly recommended. Crab and mackerel right by the sea. What more could you want? Not cheap, but nobody wants a cheap crab pasty and everything is here is top quality and is really good value. The wine is good quality too and compliments the food. Also, the setting is fab and with access a bit challenging you feel as if your meal is well earned.

Coeliac / Gluten free friendly A+ Had fish and chips here yesterday which were freshly prepared. Having Coeliac disease i am always nervous when eating out as i get a reaslly bad reaction if i have any gluten. basically vomitting for 3-4 hours and out of action for the next 12hrs or so. Anyway, the chef assured me that they took lots of steps to ensure food would not be cross contaminated such as cooking in seperate oil etc etc. Really good food, no reaction and great value so thank you and i will be back. 100% recommended!

We enjoyed a visit to the botanical gardens & decided to stop in to their cafe /restaurant for a bite to eat I must say that the views were stunning looking out onto the gardens , we were lucky enough to get a table on the veranda where a local choir were singing & it made our day The food menu is quite limited but there were a nice selection of cakes available & lots of unusual teas too The food we did order was delicious .. but they were small portions for the price ( I must admit it was one our most expensive eats while on the isle of wight!) All in all a great setting to enjoy a cup of tea & drink but maybe wouldn’t go back for food

We had a super Sunday lunch here after strolling through the botanical gardens. the chef Michael Jackson (yes, really!) cooked a delicious roast beef for my husband & did a special sea bass for me. Very attentive service from friendly staff & really good wine by the glass in pleasant surroundings, with the sun streaming into the restaurant.

Wow, I’ve just read the reviews on here and following my own experience, I can concur with the reviews highlighting the rude nature of the lady who runs this place. I also saw one review from one man claiming misogyny on this review chain, it’s simply not. Bad manners are not gender specific, they just are bad manners. Yes people in this establishment may get up early to bring fresh fish in everyday, however the clientele do not expect to be slapped in the face by a wet trout when they turn up to the premise or enquire about buying it. I will be taking my business elsewhere as I am sure many others have in the past and will in the future.
