Really nice room Liam couldn't have been more helpful. We had a lovely night out in Wallingford and the pub was still lively and really welcoming on a wet Sunday night. We even got a few old skool bar games out. Hard to beat !Liam went out in the rain to put an extra couple of hours on our car in the long stay car park - way beyond normal service!

What an exceptional restaurant. It was our first visit on a special occasion and the greeting at the door was warm and friendly. The co owner Ryan came to our table and with a real sense of warm professionalism talked us through the food options. Although many around us were choosing the ‘taster menu’, we decided on a la carte. The restaurant was intimate but spacious, with only 20 covers in an area that would easily of managed 40. The food was sublime, well designed and created and a pleasure to eat. To summarise a magnificent restaurant and a truly memorable evening.

Just when I loved this local watering hole enough already; Mike and Grace have come in with a fresh new look, menu and atmosphere. The roast dinner we had was perfect, the fire was keeping us nice and warm and the young man behind the bar was friendly and helpful. Cant recommend enough, the last decent pub in Henley (in my opinion) :)

Not eating here recently so was interested to see what it was like. Wasn’t disappointed. Pleasant staff. I had mussels. My husband had tomahawk pork. Then we shared a sticky toffee pudding. All to a good standard. Sauvignon blanc wine was nice too.

Poor service and poor food. Has gone downhill to what we’ve had before. Menu choice was very poor and had to choose the only dish I liked. The fried Brie wedges to start had no Brie in them as they had been over fried. Main course was cold and £15 for a cheese board, which only had 3 pieces of small cheese on and a few Jacob’s crackers was over priced. The service was poor and we were the only ones eating there. This used to be a great pub for food but feel it is now just overpriced and has an easy boring menu choice.

We booked at the last minute on a very cold night hoping for some wholesome warming food and we were not disappointed. Best Sotch Egg you will ever have as a shared starter followed by Smoked Ham Pie for madam and Beef Stew for sir and then a shared Hollygog Pie for pud. The food was fantastic, well done chef, and the waiting staff were charming. Wonderful evening, highly recommended.

We decided on Sunday morning to try the Red Lion for lunch, and booked a table for 1330. We arrived and were met by efficient staff who were expecting us and offered us a choice of table. Drinks were ordered from a knowledgeable waiter and arrived quickly, mine being a very well-kept pint from tge local Amwell Springs brewery. We both chose beef from an extremely well thought-out menu which again arrived after only a short wait. The meat was beautifully cooked and presented on a large plate with very well cooked greens, carrots and a freshly-made Yorkshire puddings. Sides of cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes were excellent, probably the best roasties I've had, and the horseradish was similarly delicious. We both cleared our plates and the side dishes. Utterly gorgeous, go and see for yourself.

Precioso restaurante. Buen ambiente, personal servicial, cortés y excelente comida.

I’ve always had high expectations for the lamb it’s been a lovey place to dine in the past. Unfortunately it was below par on this occasion. Was out for dinner with my partner, the menu its self was quite seasonal and a choice for everyone. The ambience was a little different than usual times. The starters were Devine, the French onion soup and the chicken wings was really tasty. I had the venison which was spot on. My partner had the duck, as a fine dinning restaurant you would expect the duck to be pink, or be well rested I would say it was more blue to rare. I found it to be undercooked it was all most inedible, chewy and cold. You could hear a pin drop I didn’t really want to complain but for the price you expect a faultless plate, I asked the manager he shut me down said they cook there duck to medium rare? I was completely embarrassed and just felt uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. In all fairness we did get £2.80 discount and some soft drinks on the house. Overall a underwhelming experience for a 2 rosette establishment.
