The best restaurants serving British food in Waverley South East

Recently refurbished. Looking fantastic. Under new management. Definitely worth a visit. Tom the new landlord is doing his best to turn it around. Go on, give it a go!

The food was good & the staff were friendly. Plenty of choice and it's nice when the light shines into the cafe.

Great atmosphere, staff and food! We have been a couple times now and never disappointed. Friendly staff and the Sunday roast was delicious! Good portions and quality. We will definitely be back!

Have visited a couple of times but was pretty disappointed with my most recent visit. We were not greeted as we came in and it took a while for someone to even notice we had set down despite greeting and serving customers who arrived after us. We then ordered the sausage ciabatta which I’d have to say is one of the worst sausage sandwiches I’ve ever had, the sausages had absolutely no flavour at all and did not taste like real sausages. This is a real disappointment as they are not cheap sandwiches. Am not sure that I will visit again as I was so disappointed.

Always our favourite ‘go-to’ pub in the area. New owners seem lovely and are upholding the legacy and values of the Bat that everyone loves. See you soon!

Always a pleasure finding a new restaurant that goes the extra mile in service and standards. Beautiful food , amazing staff and a very happy tummy !

Fabulous for a Sunday Lunch all either local and/or british products. From the meat to the vegetables & fruit everything is sourced as locally as possible. For me that is a BIG PLUS of this restaurant and I truly believe what OUR farmers can produce way outshines what is imported. Field to plate in 48 hours! Sorry, no photos, I just enjoyed the company I was with and the delightful food which was all beautifully presented.

Was very fun to get drunk kebabs ant and I very much enjoyed it. It provided a very good bonding experience for me and my other adult volunteers.

We used to dine there a lot but haven’t been in the last year due to poor service. However our visit on new year eve was really nice as received excellent service from the manager Andy and the food was great as well and couldn’t fault anything as nothing was too much trouble and will definitely be baiting again.

Such a great environment and the food is delicious! I came here with my family and everything we ordered was so delicious. The staff was very efficient and so kind.

It's definitely a pub I'll visit again

4 of us attended the cocktail masterclass last night hosted by the wonderful James. Not only did he teach us how to make some classic cocktails but he was very knowledgeable on how and why they were made which was really interesting. We then created our own cocktails which we all got to sample. We all left feeling very merry after a fantastic evening. Thank you James x

Had a lovely dinner at the Jolly Farmer last night! Burgers were juicy and delicious, big portions and everything very fresh. Really nice and cosy atmosphere in the pub - so glad it’s our local!

Went for lunch on Christmas Eve, food simple but really good, fast friendly service.
