The best restaurants serving British food in Bisham and Cookham Windsor and Maidenhead South East

The welcome, service, food and drink were all outstanding. The staff were attentive and all of the food was absolutely delicious. Try the Lychee sour, absolutely delicious and invented by the very talented bartender Krisztina. Hurley house is a lovely place to go for a special meal, I can’t recommend it enough.

Lovely setting, great service and delicious food. We were a party of 8 and we all enjoyed both food and wine. However if you are thinking that the Shepherds pie must be amazing at the price then don’t order it if you’re hungry!

Nice pub with a friendly atmosphere

It is always a pleasure to eat at Stubbings, for good service, quality of food, and skill in its preparation. The Christmas lunch special (pie of the day - steak and stilton - with honey roast parsnips and red onion gravy) exemplified the reason to go. It was full of flavours, the pie generously filled (rare for pies generally), and cooked perfectly.

The Sunday roast is good value compared to other local Gastro pubs The sharing rib eye @£85 is not good value for money and definitely way worse than it used to be (pics attached) The restaurant seems to have a had a few chef changes over the past 4 years The staff are nice but not that engaged It was completely empty on a Sunday whereas you would really struggle to find a table in tiger local pubs Hope this place ups its game as it was a lot better and locals really want them to stay

The place is good, service was fine

Just enjoyed an early Christmas lunch with some friends. Food was perfect, staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back.
