Very clean, organised barn stop offering a good selection of cakes and snacks. Also a great variety of drink choices. Clean and tidy tables and toilets. All offered on an honesty basis. I hope people respect this trust and pay for a lovely place to stop and refuel.

We booked for the New Years Eve gala dinner as we were staying nearby (although not in the hotel). The service was perfect - the manager Neil was charming and all his team did an amazing job on the night. We couldn't fault a single thing. The food - and food choices - were very good, well presented and many items were local. The DJ was good - I love a good dance - and the whole atmosphere was festive. I don't often write reviews but we had such a great time and were so impressed by the evening, I wanted to let people know. The hotel is well places, great views and a great atmosphere. We look forward to visiting on a sunny day in future!

SUPERB…. We had the haddock, chips, minted peas etc personally delivered to our accommodation , a beautiful holiday cottage behind the restaurant, which is dog friendly and has stunning views. The whole experience is excellent and we cannot fault any of it. Everything wonderfully cooked to perfection. Thankyou.

We've been coming here for six years. The staff were always very friendly and the food excellent. Not any more ! Under new ownership, there has now been no food at all for several months and the staff are often off-hand. To make it worse, the Old Inn website still claims that food is served and even gives a sample menu. The pub's facebook group, which has frequent updates from the new management, states "... high quality homecooked food sourced locally." And there are posters either side of the front door proclaiming that food is available !

Homemade Treats: Everything is made fresh daily, including jam-filled doughnuts, buttery croissants, sourdough, farmhouse white, granary, or wholemeal loaves, chocolate brownies, pasties, and cakes. Wide Variety: The Bake House offers a wide range of treats, from pasties to gigantic Chelsea buns, and deep-filled sandwiches served in freshly baked granary baps. High Ratings: The bakery has received high ratings on various platforms, with customers raving about the delicious and fresh food. Friendly Service: The staff are known for their friendly and attentive service, making the dining experience enjoyable.

Amazing coffee and flapjack as a lovely snack. Fabulous view over the salcombe estuary. Will most definitely be returning :)

Pizza was amazing, some nice ales too. We were up in the pizza tapas bar area staff young and not very attentive, waited around longer than we should for a quiet time in December. Nice decor and they play sport!

A lovely way to celebrate my Granddaughter’s 18th Birthday - fine dining and good service with a celebratory cake to round things off. The view from the restaurant is amazing and added to the ambience of the meal.

Definitely the best Vegetarian Breakfast. Served all day . Excellent value and great coffee. Friendly staff and dog friendly. Don’t forget to browse their shop as well . A veritable Aladdin’s Cave.

Lovely Sunday roast. Large portions and great quality produce very filling. Very affordable. We will be back.

Called in for lunch yesterday, had a really warm welcome, gorgeous roaring fire to sit near. The barman was very friendly and helpful. We ordered our food, mine was scampi and my husband ordered the steak pie, wow, we were not disappointed, we had a huge plate full of top class food. It was absolutely delicious top class ingredients cooked to perfection. Thank you all for making our time at The Ferry Inn So enjoyable.

Just fabulous. Lovely environment, wood burners at both ends of the pub. Great staff. FAB- U- LOUS food. We just popped in and it all worked out amazingly.
