We enjoyed their Far Eastern night, with outstanding food and wine and the very pleasant company of the owners.Highly recommended

We could NOT go! I was really saddened that they could not provide a different service for a disabled child than their other customers... (just book ahead to ensure wheelchair space) We are in 2024, with your attitude, there would be no paralympics! We had a fantastic Sunday lunch here. The food arrived very quickly after ordering and was delicious; sauces and extra gravy were brought to the table straight away as well which was great. As always the atmosphere was very welcoming and the service was first class.

Izaak who ran the cider and gin making session was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and fun. He made us feel welcome and had us laughing and keen to participate. We had an excellent day out at Bovey Castle. The bar staff were not as ready to interact, or even serve us as Izaak was, but everyone else was lovely.

We had a late Sunday lunch at the White Hart and everything was superb. We came right at the end of the lunch window so I was expecting a bit of less attention/end of service fatigue but Nell and Tom were so friendly and efficient. We didn't at all feel rushed or ignored; perfect service. The food was also amazing, we'll definitely be back.

Stopped for lunch after walking from Lustleigh with a friend on Tuesday 26/3. She had a tasty baguette and I had the most delicious cheesy chips. The service was great, the atmosphere was warm and cosy and the waitress was so welcoming. The cakes looked amazing too. We're planning a return visit soon

What a delightful Sunday lunch we had! Service was friendly and extremely efficient, food was very good and very good value and the ambiance was lovely. A proper pub, with proper folk!! We look forward to returning
