Can’t wait to come back. Loved every minute. Yes it is pricey and you could probably find somewhere cheaper nearby but you can see where your money goes. From the moment you turn into the property and see the house - WOW. The pictures do not do it justice. The grounds with the river running through are beautiful. The main house is stunning with real log fire in the entrance with comfy sofas to relax. We stayed in one of the Mews cottages with our cat Pisco. He loved it. Running from the massive bathroom to the bedroom and back. He especially loved the bay window where he could watch the world and pose for pictures. Breakfast was great with some great al a carte options the eggs Royale was our favourite - add some black pudding you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately we stayed when the weather had been wet so couldn’t do any of the long walks due to the mud. Definitely will be back in the summer. For food the Castle Inn which they also own was unbelievable. We also ate at the Bybrook but I personally felt the Castle Inn was a better cost to quality option.

News years eve meal was excellent. Best food around georgham and croyde. After the meal they pushed the tables aside to create a dance floor for a new years party. We had a fantastic evening. The staff are super friendly and attentive highly recomend this place

We had a warm welcome. The staff were attentive. We were seated at the far end of the dining room which could have been warmer..it was the only table for six apparently - I suggest it is moved nearer to the bar as we were the only customers in that part of the building. Our food was hot & tasty and it was good to have smaller portion options. Thank you for a happy lunch.

It's such a shame that this restaurant lacks much kerb appeal and the interior is a bit dated and doesn't seem to have much of an atmosphere, as the food was truly fabulous. We visited on a damp saturday night in January, and it was very quiet, and quite chilly inside the restaurant which was a bit disappointing. I though the steak was a bit overpriced once you added a sauce and some onion rings at £40, though I was assured it was really very well cooked and it was all delicious. My pasta dish was more reasonably priced and again very very tasty. I would definitely visit again, and do recommend if you can look past the uninviting appearance of the place.

We had the most fabulous festive afternoon, we wanted to say a massive thanks to the whole Indidog team who worked so incredibly hard trying their best to fit in the number of people who wanted to enjoy the vibe and hear the fabulous Falmouth Gospel Choir. As soon as we saw that you were holding this event we booked a table to eat for mid afternoon. The Festive Menu was absolutely gorgeous, one of the best eating out Christmas Turkey meals we have had. Even though it was super busy the whole team worked their socks off, weaving through the people with drinks and a smile. We were sat directly behind the couple who have just posted a review and we wanted to share our experience. We were in the restaurant from 2.30 and as it started to fill up people were allowed to stand in certain places and as soon as tables were available they were, in turn, directed to a seat. The couple in front of of us were seated and the lady decided to stand, for a lot of the time she was stood directly in front of our table which meant that my elderly mum couldn’t see anything. We chose not to say anything as we wanted to focus on the lovely music and vibe. To our right was a large table of people and we heard Simon explain that they would need to vacate the table as it was booked from 6.00. The waitress also explained this to us when we ordered our last round of drinks. We could hear Simon explaining to the couple in front of us that the table was booked from 6.00, and this is why no more orders etc could be taken, we heard the whole conversation and it was clear that despite the perfectly reasonable explanation the lady was not at all happy with what she was hearing. It was really sad as it was the Choirs last song and the theme was all about peace and understanding. I wanted to share this perspective as I feel the purpose of a review is to share what you experienced and what I saw was a team working incredibly hard to accommodate as many people as they could whilst balancing the needs of customers that have booked for the evening service.

I drove 12 miles to get fish and chips for our family and friends which would have been 6 large fish, chips and mushy peas plus 5 children's fish and chips. When I arrived there at 20.55 they were closed. I asked the woman behind the Counter what times are the flying times and she said "We fry from five till nine" I told her that I saw they were closed at 20.55. She said "Yeah we close five minutes early but that's only a few minutes." I told her that it was out of order and I'm writing a review. She didn't care. Imagine how much this early closing costs the owners. I will never go there again.

The strong reviews shaped my decision to try this place for lunch - the experience did not disappoint. It's a genuinely great place for a traditional Sunday roast. A kid friendly atmosphere in a characterful pub with warm / friendly staff serving great food. It made the experience even more enjoyable. The Sunday dinner is fantastic value for money, with very generous helpings, cooked and prepared to a high standard. I had the beef which was succulent and tender, the jumbo Yorkshire pudding was a tasty challenge but everything was spot on. The pigs in blankets were lovely too but I really struggled to eat them after filling up with my main (something I normally wouldn't struggle with but there was so much food). When I arrived at 2pm the pub was full and I was offered the chance to use a standing table but declined, said thank you and left. I nearly drove away but the manager ran after me and said she would make room for me in the corner of the dining area. She was so warm and lovely - it's easy to tell that she's a natural dealing with customers in a friendly way. I'm glad they made room for me. I will definitely come here again.

We were in Wilton for two nights for a funeral, and both stayed, and ate, at the Greyhound Inn. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is brilliantly run by a charming husband and wife team, whose constant good spirits and desire to help, is second to none. Their professionalism lies in their ability to make every customer feel special, welcome, and that no request is too much for them. The restaurant food was delicious, and the staff who work there are all friendly, cheerful, and very efficient. The Inn has several rooms which we found to be beautiful, very reasonably priced and immaculate. It was a truly comfortable stay. Breakfast in the morning, was a real treat! This is now going to be our go-to place whenever we return to Wiltshire!
