The best restaurants serving British food in Leominster South Herefordshire, County of West Midlands

Me and 2 of my brothers, went there, on a Saturday afternoon, while the market was on. They had ran out of the pork loin, so me and one brother opted for the homemade beef pie, with carrots,peas,New potatoes and gravy,my other brother opted for the not so small breakfast. There was about 20 minutes wait,as it's cooked as ordered, but it was well worth it! The food came out, piping hot, the pie filling was in abundance, plenty of carrots,peas and lots of gravy. It's a good job that it was piping hot,because, by the time that I finished the meal, it was still warm. Highly recommended, plus the place is very clean, the staff are very friendly and there are toilet facilities, and also a ground floor cafe, aswel.

This is a litte gem of a cafe in unusual surroundings. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We only had coffee (which was very good) but the cakes and other snacks looked, and smelled, delicious.

Absolutely superb fish and chips (gluten free). Light crispy cider batter and crisp chunky chips with garden peas and generous portions. The food was freshly prepared and piping hot. The chef checked that we were enjoying the food. Definitely check out this pub as it has recently changed ownership. Good selection of beers if that is your thing. Also noteworthy is that we ate around 5pm - many pubs aren't serving food at that time on a weekday.

After becoming stranded in the recent floods I came across this pub by chance looking to seek refuge for a couple of hours. The generosity and kindness of the staff, locals, and owners of this pub was exceptional. The owners offered myself and other stranded people a place to stay the night free of charge when it became clear that we could not leave Leominster. This is by far the best pub in the UK not only for the atmosphere but for the excellent food. Thank you to everyone at The White Lion for your kindness in my time of need and I hope to come back one day!

Lovely selection of food on the menu, very tasty , clean and friendly staff. Would recommend a visit. Lots to try. Dog friendly.

Excellent meal, at good value. Lovely cheese scones & home made soup. The Antique centre above was also full of interesting pieces.
