There are a handful of places in Oswestry where you can get a good mug of coffee. This is one of them. The food is familiar but consistently well executed. If you've been to any other midsize british cafe, you know what kind of cuisine to expect; happily the kitchen at Milano's knows how their business; breakfasts and lunches here have always been reliably good. They cater adequately well for vegetarians and usually have gluten free bread available. Prices are reasonable. I do wish the menu was a little more adventurous though. The place is generally clean and the staff are pleasant. They have three seatings areas: a downstairs assortment of tables close to the entrance, a few larger tables in a conservatory, and a quieter assortment of booths and tables upstairs suited for anyone planning on lingering a bit. Free wifi helps with that. Plugs are few and far between which is bad news for anyone bringing a laptop. Every good town has a reliable restaurant serving up simple comforts on a cold morning. This is that.

My Mum and I popped in for lunch and were warmly greeted and shown to a table. The decor was nice and fresh and there were quite a few other parties eating. The menu was comprehensive and there was ample choice (including vegetarian options). Mum ordered the fish and chips and said it was fresh and tasty. I had the cheese and onion pie which was delicious, beautiful pastry and the filling was wonderful, well seasoned and beautifully balanced. It was one of the best cheese & onion pies I've had and a lovely change for none meat eaters to have a pie on a menu. Sadly we didn't have room for a pudding. This was our second visit and we will be going again.

Stopped here for lunch. I had the sausage casserole and my partner had fish and chips. The food was well presented and really tasty. Homemade chips as well. I loved the casserole. Iv cooked in Michelin star restaurants and the food here was as good as what we cooked. I recomend this place if your out shopping in Oswestry.

Only me as a customer in at lunchtime. Service very slow and poor just for one bag of chips.

Wot's cooking is a great place to sit in and get a nice fish and chips. Located in the heart of oswestry. It's located near a post office and even a betting shop, it has plenty around it. The staff are friendly and they are really generous with portions. What's cooking deserves to be on a seaside location really, but it serves well in oswestry. It's cozy in there too, there's been a few times where I've had a meal sitting in there as its been raining outside. So if your in oswestry and fancy some food, get yourself some chips from wot's cooking and enjoy their service!

Unfortunately it was too late to get something to eat so can't say what the food is like. What we did receive was a 1st class reception from friendly staff. The place is absolutely spotless and has a great atmosphere, would recommend this place to anyone.

Came to Owestry for the weekend and were looking for somewhere to eat, late Saturday afternoon. Found The Fox Inn on the high street. Good choice on the menu. We went with the roast dinner....it was huge and really tasty. Staff lovely and friendly too. We chose well. :)

Absolutely terrible! Every item of food we tried to order didn’t have! Short story NO spuds NO bacon NO sausage NO egg NO coronation chicken You get the idea! Can you do cheese beans on toast? NO NO BREAD! What can you do?? Bacon cheese sandwich! How the hell does that happen?? Total disaster and I do not normally complain or right bad reviews but there were a group of 5 families and when the kids asked for ice cream well at one point the parents were expecting to be told yea I’ve cream but NO no cones!!! My first time here but my partner has called in a few times with work and even he said “ this is a shambles” so that tells me everything! I will NOT be coming back as nearly £14 for 1 sandwich, bellow par and 2 not nice coffees is a joke! First and last visit for me but wish you much luck!
