The best restaurants serving British food in Idle and Thackley Bradford Yorkshire and The Humber

I was invited to a poker tournament there, Fruday evening. 19 runners three tables. It was a well run tournament, with a good group of lads with varying experience. Shout out to Scarlet (I Think) who was ferrying drinks up stairs all night....I'll Be Back.

A small cafe serving all the usual breakfast fodder. Sadly, some of the produce is low cost /quality. One item is the sausage! But it's reasonably priced, and the surroundings are clean and tidy. It's just not special or upmarket in any way. Still a good place to get cheap cars to keep you going.

Lovely meal hear today for my daughters birthday. The staff over heard us and even added a candle to her desert. The make over is lovely and the toilets are fab. Lovely couple of hours hear today. Great staff and service. We will be back soon

Met by grumpy rude middle aged man ( I won’t do him the honour of calling him a maitre d) who waived us on to our table The room was cold even though full of diners. My calamari starter was undercooked, with the consistency of an inner tube. To follow I had the turkey dinner which consisted of 3 slices of catering turkey. 2 overcooked tiny pigs in blankets which were approx 1.5 inches in length. Cold and raw sprouts and broccoli, a couple of roasties, mash and a Yorkshire. No parsnips carrots etc. Chocolate brownie for dessert was very nice. Service was quite good by the young staff members only spoilt my another grumpy middle aged bloke helping? with the serving, and dragging his teal towel across one of the family’s plate of food. (Spot the trend) We have been to the Stansfield many times but it is now not as good as it was and I agree with others that the Brownlee is far better. We will go elsewhere in future. I suffered from food poisoning the next day - hmmmm I wonder why…

Very good pub for friends and family to go to everyone is very friendly and welcoming the staff are nice

Went for fish and chips takeaway I am disabled with a lung condition told I had to wear a face mask showed my inhaler told I needed exception card (they don't exist) won't be back, being supportive does not exist here.

Very nice food. Got the munch box and there was a decent amount in it. Kebab meat is fine a little dry maybe. The chicken wings and grilled chicken were very nice. Chips were good. Sauces nice as well just needed more.
