Great cafe - great staff and comfortable, tasteful ambience. The food is good and I’d definitely recommend the pancake stack.

We stumbled across this place whilst wandering around the old town. It’s near the swing bridge on Grape Street Small menu so we tried most of it - everything we had was great. Loved the kimchi dumplings and the sushi. The bowl of delight which I forget the name of was delicious as was the sweet chilli chicken. All freshly cooked and tasty! We will return to try what we missed!! It was very reasonably priced, friendly service and can’t recommend enough.

It seems to be the theme for Florios that there is a lot of confusion about their own policy on prams/car seats. The booking was made and they were told that there was a baby. I’m aware that this information has being disputed in other reviews but this was clearly made at the time of the booking. On arrival the entrance is neither pram or wheelchair friendly, as we’ve been once before, so we chose to attend with the car seat as again space has being touted as an issue. The idea was to have the baby sat with us on our lap as they are only a few months old and can neither sit upright on their own in a high chair and trying to keep him in the car seat, or even with the pram base had we chosen to bring it, for the duration of our meal would have being impossible without it spoiling other customers experience with having to listen to our crying baby. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward and pleasant interaction turned into a frustrating ordeal due to the front of house’s rudeness and she stormed off to speak to the manager on several occasions as she was not happy that we didn’t have ‘the wheels’ for the car seat and on all occasions she never actually came back to tell us what the manager had said. We were then taken to our table where we had another stand off with the front of house as she wanted us to put the baby in the car seat on 2 chairs that were pushed together into the corner behind our own chairs. This limited the space even more than what it would have if we’d brought the pram base and thus squashed us into the corner. The food was nice and service by the male waiter was good but the clearing of the plates by other staff was rushed and we still had people eating whilst some plates were cleared away which seemed very unprofessional. The prices and times of the happy hour aren’t displayed so you have no idea how much it’s all going to cost and whether it’s included in the deal. The male toilets are tiny and one tap didn’t work and the other produced cold water only. And passing another person can be problematic unless you want to perform a stand up version of Twister to get by each other. We’ve tried to organise the visit by doing exactly what Florios what by informing them of our requirements but this didn’t seem to do any good.

I had a lovely experience yesterday, me and my partner went for some coffees last night to enjoy the atmosphere and look out to beach from the upstairs windows, there was this one lady with brown reddish hair who was doing a fantastic job she was darting up and down the stairs delivering food with a lovely smile and even asked how we were enjoying our coffees, Just a very pleasant young lady. As for the others we maybe saw them come up the stairs a couple of times but as we were leaving one was just sat on a laptop and the other was stood behind the bar talking to the one on the laptop. Definitely no team play. Other than that I couldn’t recommend this place enough, the atmosphere was amazing and the views are so beautiful.

This place is amazing the sweet milky coffee with a bacon bap is one of the things I go to Scarborough for. My father n law and I love it here as for some other comments saying it’s expensive I don’t agree, I thinks it’s great value for money. The staff are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I also love theme if it the theme hasn’t changed since I’ve been going for 20 + years and the quality hasn’t changed. I just love it.

The first impression of Catch 55 was that it was immaculate and then we were impressed by the efficency of the staff along with their caring approach. The Haddock and Chips were delicious. Our dogs had a sausage each. Yep, it's dog-friendly too. This was a delightful experience and we will definitely return.

Called in here on a Saturday morning it was very warm in there and had condensation running down the windows. The lady who served us refused a very simple request that other cafes have obliged us with. The food was of very poor quality especially the sausages they were awful and the rest of it wasn’t much better, sorry but we won’t be returning.

The best compliment you can pay to any restaurant is a return visit and this is why we returned to Reflections and this time brought friends with us. Following our previous rave reviews Reflections had a lot to live up to and yet again delivered the most amazing beautifully prepared dishes. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Richard and shown into the bar area for drinks and to peruse the menu and make our selections. We remained here until we were shown to our table by Richards assistant Harvey. The food was absolutely stunning. We had all ordered different dishes and every one looked and tasted exquisite. I opted for the monkfish wrapped in Parma ham with mashed potato and vegetables, hubbies choice was pork with new potatoes and vegetables and our friends selected halibut with new potatoes and side salad and roast duck with new potatoes and vegetables. We all agreed that the food was as good as it gets. To finish two of us selected the lemon posset with brand snap basket and one of us selected the cheese board. The deserts were beautifully presented and delicious however one minor criticism would be that the brandy snap baskets were quite thick and chewy rather than snapping which made them quite difficult to tackle. All in all a great big big thumbs up to everyone in the team involved in making our evening so special. We will return!!!!!
