Amazing Amazing Amazing. We just love this place. The staff are so lovely, they make you feel so welcome. The cafe is cosy and the bacon baps and coffee are incredible.

While staying at the lovely Manor House Farm Cottage down the lane, we ate at The Fox Inn on Friday evening. We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated in the small and warm dining room. The menu has many interesting and tempting items and it was rather difficult to make a choice. The starters were delicious and substantial. For main course my wife had halibut and I had salmon and king prawns; there was a very nice selection of vegetables. Both dishes were excellent. Desserts too were delicious. The service was friendly and efficient and the pace of the meal was perfect, making for a very pleasant, unhurried evening. This is fine dining and all the more surprising given the somewhat remote location of the pub in the hamlet of Roxby. Nowadays one is lucky to find a pub still operating in a village, let alone haute cuisine of this standard. The owners have a well deserved reputation for fine food and it’s surely better than anywhere in nearby Staithes. Our only reservation is that it’s expensive, especially drinks, e.g. a half pint of Guinness @ £2.80! Nevertheless it was a superb end to our week’s holiday and is highly recommended.

What delicious food! We planned this stop as part of our bike ride that dark and grim November day, but I was glad I did! Generous portions, fast service: worth a visit!

Everything felt pristine, with a delightful newness and impeccable cleanliness throughout. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional, ensuring every detail of our stay was seamless. The hotel’s modern facilities, surrounded by stunning natural beauty and located right by the sea, create an atmosphere of pure tranquility. It’s the ideal destination for anyone seeking comfort in a breathtaking setting.

Hemos utilizado este café en catorce ocasiones en nuestras visitas a Whitby / Sandsend. A veces para la comida - otras veces bebidas. Siempre satisfecho. Salieron a tomar unas copas el 29/12 y fueron tan decepcionantes. Los chocolates calientes de lujo tenían crema barata y eran delgados y débiles (ciertamente no eran una marca de lujo), la olla de té estaba bien. A alrededor de £ 4 la bebida (chocolates calientes £ 4. 50) era una parada en boxes cara. Usaremos uno de los otros cafés en el futuro.

Encantadora ubicación y ambiente. Amistosa bienvenida y conocedor, ecléctica colección de vinos. Encontré mi comida sosa - entrante de vieiras, fletán principal y trío de pequeños pudines de los cuales el merengue de lima era sabroso pero estándar de supermercado de esponja de fresa. Otros disfrutaron de sus garras de ceab y mariscos platos de mañana

Acogedor pub con un menú excelente, inusual y creativo. Todo se cocina por encargo lo que, comprensiblemente, lleva algún tiempo. El servicio es amable y eficiente y todo el establecimiento tiene una sensación encantadora. Muy recomendable para una comida con una diferencia en la zona Whitby.

Just had the most gorgeous Sunday roast. I had Lamb and husband had Beef. Both equally good. Everything was perfectly cooked. Just wish we lived nearer so we could go more often. We'll worth walking up the hill. Can't recommend it enough. Very good and friendly staff.
