Great draught beers and nice place

We love to call here for their famous fish and chips, even though we live over an hours drive away. Today we decided to have a change, so the hubby had mussels for starters and the hot seafood platter . I decided on calamari starter and the seafood linguine from the specials board. WELL I was disappointed!! If I'd realised how big the main was I don't think I'd have had a starter. That said, the calamari was lovely, but the star of my meal was the linguine. Big pieces of white fish, salmon, and mussels. Huge prawns and loads of smaller ones too. It was hot, creamy and very tasty with a side salad and brown toasted bread. I highly recommend you try it. BUT ! go hungry 😋

I would say this is British French Fusion restaurant. The food quality we had was good and prices were reasonable. Service was on the slow side.

We found this cafe on Tripadvisor and decided to visit for breakfast. The owner was very welcoming and friendly and service was good. The food was tasty and the seasonal lattes were amazing! Our dogs enjoys their puppaccinos too!

Nipped in for a pint for old times sake. (Semi regular in the mid eighties) Good choice of beers and friendly staff

Hotel is amazing! Wanted to also treat my parents to afternoon tea for her 85th birthday. It cost over £150 for 4 and it was ok. The staff seemed bothered and a bit snooty when you asked for anything. Also the savoury choice wasn’t great, scones tiny and cakes ok. We had a nice time but just not as good as I’d hoped. But if you are staying at the hotel that is lovely!

We booked in advance for the 9 course tasting meal and it did not disappoint except perhaps for the asparagus! It was well balanced and can be held up high with many Michelin starred restaurants. The service was very good with each course well explained. We shared the wine paring as it would have been too much wine for us. The tables are well apart from each other. Enjoyed the amuse bouche too. Would recommend.

unassuming local pub with excellent food & very friendly people. Very reasonable prices & decent portions as well. We were in a caravan park a mile up the road & went midweek for dinner. No hesitation in recommending this one and we will be returning on our next trip.
