The best restaurants serving British food in England

Mainly good service although the dishes were a bit hit and miss. Altogether an enjoyable experience but seemed pricey. A great looking venue.

Oh my Gawwwd. Drooling at the memory. Charcuterie to walk over hot coals for. Ok maybe I’m exaggerating but it’s goood! Great concept.

Went here as a couple on Saturday night . The place is only small but this is nice Really enjoyed the food it was lovely We had a table in the corner I had prawns for my starter , salmon for my mains and Chocolate pudding for my dessert. The only thing that was a down side was the service was too fast we would have been out in a hour if we hadn’t asked for some time . No sooner had my starter plate been taken away than my main course had arrived . I personally think it’s nice to just take your time when out for a meal and not feel rushed , The place is licensed but you can take your own wine and pay a small corkage charge which is great Ate here again last night the food was amazing and this time we didn’t feel at all rushed it was lovely Bakewell pudding was delicious in fact I ate it before I took the photo 🤣

Christmas lunch what a wonderful experience. The food was delicious as always.. The students are polite and a credit to the college. Owen attended our table and did a great job in serving our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant one of Mansfields hidden gems!!!

We came for a last-minute booking after a walk at Fountains Abbey. The staff were very attentive and quickly resolved missing items from roast dinners. Food was spot on! The highlight of the meal was the rice pudding. Children well catered for, and we did not feel rushed. Very cosy atmosphere. If I am being picky, there was a little wait for mains to be cleared, and we were thinking of leaving without dessert. The waiter resolved this with a prompt order and had the bill ready when our toddler became restless. Will return with in laws!

Delicious food and friendly service.

We recently visited London and this cafe was right around the corner from our hotel. Delicious bagels that kept us full all day! There was such a wide selection, we had something new every day and each one was fantastic. The staff were so lovely and very personable. Was sad to leave it when we travelled back home!

Kids came to meet Santa, the entertainer was brilliant and Santa was on top form. The staff were lovely and the whole thing was very well organised. A lovely country pub with a fab looking menu and cosy log fires.

Finally visited…after 3 failed attempts and it did not disappoint. Service was so friendly and food was amazing. Very casual but still feels special. So glad we finally made it. Can’t wait to visit again…oh and the scallops and skate wee to die for!!!

I had the best scones I have ever had here. And if I go somewhere in the summer, I will get scones.
