The best restaurants serving British food in England

Stopped by and was so impressed with this place. The atmosphere is super cozy and everything I was served was just so good. Really great coffee. I had the cuban sandwich and the way it was plated with tater tots and slaw made it feel like a kid's lunch, but for adults - and I mean that in a good way! Very satisfying and homely. I'll definitely be back.

We eventually found your cafe with the help of a local man. He brought us to the cafe as we couldn't find it. His name was Keiran. A really friendly guy. Well it didn't disappoint. We had been to a funeral,it was freezing and we were in need of hot food. We got the large breakfast, not the mega one. I have to say it was hot and delicious. Plenty of tea, coffee, toast, brown and white. And a full plate of delicious food. It was huge. I couldn't finish all of mine...but what meat I didn't eat,I got some foil and took it home to my little dog. The owners were from south Africa originally. Mother and daughter and I think a brother. They were so very nice. Really friendly. Thank you. It was a real pleasure eating in your out of the way cafe 😋😉

The food is amazing here highly recommend it. In fact I've gone two days in a row before it's that good! Haha Top recommendations that's I have had - Chicken chunks Fish and chips The sausages, are by far the best sausages I've ever eaten in any chip shop. Popped in for an early evening pint just over two weeks ago, whilst staying nearby. Nice looking pub, real fire, friendly locals and staff. My wife and I enjoyed a well kept pint of Harveys Old Ale each. The following lunchtime I returned for lunch with my inlaws. I had the halloumi burger, which was very nice indeed. Well presented, good salad and perfect chips: crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Ale was a little on the cold side on this visit but still drinkable. I'd definitely return.

Vegetarian breakfast, was V small but tasty :) the bread and sasuages in particular were really nice👌🏼 its only a small venue but it's quirky and a nice spot for Brunch/lunch.

Lovely friendly place, relaxed atmosphere, plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Good big glasses of juice and my Sri Lankan breakfast was excellent. If I lived in Herne Bay I'd come for one of those every day! Be aware that they close the kitchen at 4 & reopen later for dinners. Edit: I am actually thinking of returning to Herne Bay just to get another one of those breakfasts. I hope the locals appreciate what they've got here <3

Just stayed at this hotel after it has been recently renovated by new owners and wow. It is amazing, the rooms are a great size, they have all been done differently and are very unique. The breakfast was to a very good standard. They offer a free car service into Cartmel and back which was really helpful as we were dining at L’Enclume and were dropped off and picked up. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Cartmel .

First visit to El's Olive Cafe was really nice today. Popped in for a coffee and was greeted with smiles, warm, friendly staff and great atmosphere!

Lots of choice on the menu, delicious homemade food & great service. I highly Hamiltons. recommend Hamiltons

Little diamond of a plaçe. Beautifully presented food,the best fish n chips I've had and I love whitby. Very friendly staff and has all facilities you need.10/10

Had the dinner tasting menu. The food was very imaginative, original and delicious! Enjoyed the chef's explanations before each course and the waiting staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

One of the best meals I've had in a very long time. All food was lovely and generous portions, the starters (cheese souffle and salt and pepper squid) were exceptional, and the tiramisu was the best I have ever had!! Friendly, efficient service and lovely relaxed setting with fab decor. Already looking at when we can come again! Thank you so much.
