Absolutely love this place and the food, the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Lovely food…well what food we got. Terrible service and in the end a rip off for the price we paid. This was our first time at the restaurant. Sundays are eat all you can. We booked for 7.30pm and when we got there they said chef stops cooking at 8.30! We asked if we could order our mains at the same time time as our starters…no that’s not allowed. Starters came at 8.10, quickly ate and them and asked if we could order our mains, the waitress was grumpy and miserable. There was six of us and we ordered 7 main courses (which I don’t think is unreasonable) 2 main course and 2 sides never came! At 8.31 we said some of our food hadn’t come and she said “sorry kitchen is now closed” No acknowledgement of the fact we’d been rushed through or that food hadn’t arrived. Why take bookings at 7.30 if you’re kitchen closed at 8.30. We got one small bowl of rice (enough for 1.5 people) to try and share over 6 people, but paid £30pp for the privilege! Such poor customer service, felt like we were in their way. Sad because the cocktails were lovely.

Never go anywhere else you must try the number 22. Best dish

Egg fried rice was like packet rice sweat sour chicken no flavour at all and chewey and exspensive

Delivery service over two hour wait food was cold when it arrived the manager Poppy refused a refund the food was expensive and certainly not worth the wait

Golden Star is my regular Chinese takeaway. Great customer service, good always ready quickly and delicious. We love the Spicy Hot Szechuan Shredded Chicken, the salt and pepper prawns, satay chicken and chicken fried rice. Curry sauce is also spot on. Definitely recommend.
