The best restaurants serving Chinese food in East Midlands

Got there at 7pm and was famished and had their Wonton Soup with Chicken Chow Mein. Their Room was nice with Clean Sheets, a little Table, 2 Comfy Chairs. They gave good attentive Service. And of all the Motels or Inns I have stayed at, theirs was the only one that have a complimentary Fridge in the suite. They even provide a Laundry Service for your Personal Clothing. The only problems was the Bathroom Sink Cold Tap did not work and the Toilet made a Terrible Racket when Flushed. It is Great Service for the Price they charge and would stay there again if I am ever back to visit Splilsby again.

Excellent food, still very hot when delivered

Was debating whether to post a public review due to the nature i experienced on making one complaint a few years ago - but if being honest in my opinion and experiences helps others - i will post exactly that. Absolutely awful place - used to have standards and character about the food, care and passion in the flavours of their food - not anymore. Food has NEVER been one bit consistent in the last few times I've ordered (and thats not even that regular because its my last resort) Food has no set recipe - and changes every single time - hot and sour soup especially - the ingredients get changed up and mixed about, sometimes containing tofu, sometimes not, sometimes like water, sometimes thicker than slime - its never the same. Chips are also disgusting! Comparable to greasy cold cardboard when they arrive and the salt and pepper chips have rationed flavourings and veg - literally a few skinny sliced onions on top and can barely taste them! The rice is actually pretty decent most the time but can also at times like tonight - be dry, bulky and cold. Ive ordered enough times to know its not just a bad night - but more the fact they have lost their passion and care for the food and just rush it for the money. I wont ever be back here again - not even as a last resort! Even my kids couldn’t eat their tea and complained it was “disgusting” - they are 5 and 6. Not acceptable! Oh and we was overcharged for our order and also had to return because items were missing!!

Ordered from justeat, first time from tiptop, order hadn't arrived after one hour so called them, told me on way. Another 30 mins later it arrived cold with food split all inside bag.. never again

Chicken fried rice was overdone and small bits of meat. Not the best

Food was prepared quickly, collected, and served at home. When opening the container, I was hit with a bad-smelling sweet and sour odor. The served food was very disappointing. The chicken, which was supposed to be crispy/fried, it was wet and slimy. It tasted like cooking oil/fat. The vegetables were uncut and massive compared to the chicken. The meal was comparable to a microwave meal. If I had to choose between buying food from jade garden or having a microwave meal, I know which I would choose—simply because I know I could finish a microwave meal.

Too GOOD, today marks the 10 years ive came here and every single time it slaps.

Great food as always - our regular chinese even though it's not the closest. I love being able to watch your order being cooked.

Lovely meal and good portion sizes as always. The meal for one is enough for two people if you have a starter as we do but there was no sweet n sour sauce for our battered chicken balls. So a bit disappointing. Won’t stop us ordering again though.

Dreadful! Never revieceved order and when rang to see where it was, they insisted that their driver had delivered it. There has been no delivery to my house. Checking ring doorbell footage shows noone has been. Still they insist it's been delivered even when I asked them what colour my door was and they gave the wrong colour. Apparently it's not their problem and they're not sending out food paid for as the driver says he delivered to the correct house. Bunch of liars! I wonder if they even cooked any food or it's just some scam they're running to pocket customers money... Got called a liar and son got told he didn't know his own address... Will never use again and will word of mouth advise people to avoid at all cost. ETA Shame on you! Yes eventually got refunded from just eats after multiple emails over a week after it happened. It's taken you nearly a month to respond to the review. Maybe if the person on the phone didn't accuse us of stealing the food and tried the fix the problem then I wouldn't have left a bad review or have to chase a refund through justeats. Your staff are rude and obnoxious and so are you.

Made an order online that said it would be 2 hours, which we were fine with. 2.5 hours later I rang to find out where our order was... after 5 mins waiting for them to find our order they said they had missed it and tried to say some orders get missed, even though they have to confirm the orders! Absolute waste of time, we always order from here but will never again waste our time and money. Don't bother, you may be sat all night waiting for nothing!!!!

Food turned up and it was cold and tasted awful, the majority of the food was just vegetables and barely any meat, the order was wrong, I had paid extra for special fried rice and got just a normal egg fried rice wich looked to be a small portion and the same with the chow mein order was completely wrong, terrible place to order from an absolute waste of money, considering we spent 50 to 60 pound for a takeaway what a rip off. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!

they make me get the flu shocking place

Egg fried rice had no egg, mixed veg was 50% mushrooms with no pak choi in sight, chicken chow mein was just noodles with a little chicken and usually when you spend a large amount of money ( over £40 ) the Chinese restaurants throw in some prawn crackers but not this restaurant. Not very impressed.
