The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Islington London

Dull food, disinterested service. Arrived early at 5pm disturbing staff eating their own dinner. Told to go next door. Ordered beet tripe and beef slices in chili oil, boiled rice, chinese tea. Very little tripe, 90% beef, slightly sickly sauce needed pep, missing sichuan peppercorns. Lacking sparkle. Service dilatory, not friendly. £15.80. Nothing objectionable. Can get this dish much better at Ma Po in Lower Road Surrey Quays.

Si bien realmente aprecié el nivel de especias —que llenó el calor que esperaba— sentí que el equilibrio entre el pollo y la especia se quedó un poco corto. Puede haber sido debido a mi propia falta de familiaridad con este plato específico, pero los sabores no se unieron tan armoniosamente como había anticipado. Por el lado bueno, el maridaje de cervezas fue excelente y definitivamente elevó la experiencia. El personal era amable y experto en recomendarlo, lo que realmente aprecio. What can I say we have used theHoly for the last 30years the last year since new owners have taken over has seen a rapid decline we gave it the benefit of doubt a few times but tonight was the final time the food was awful curry sauce had a funny taste egg fried rice had no egg just uncooked rice like bullets the prawn crackers were stale none of us (3) eat it it went in the bin so we won’t be ordering again and I have had an upset stomach since eating so definitely last time for us.

It's a lovely and welcoming cafe. The owners seem to have focused on the tea - they have an excellent range and it's all really nice (although it's my first time trying bubble tea). I was served by someone called Angel? Angelica? I think; so sorry for not getting your name right but she's extremely welcoming and kind! Served my tea super quick and elegantly, definitely coming here again. I will definitely start visiting with friends here regularly, it's so much nicer than some of the mainstream bubble tea stores in central London.

We’ve ordered from here before and always found the food to be lovely. However on this occasion our usual dishes were hotter than usual and the chicken tasted old. Quite disappointed.

First ever trip to a vegan restaurant it was very nice not the best I've ever had but given it was vegan I didn't feel the need to lie down afterwards so that's definitely a plus. It would help if the menu was more informative - the menu still said 'beef' and 'shrimp' and things like that without explaining what it was which was a bit odd.

Great food ! Just got my delivery, food was hot and tasty. They also gave us some free goodies as well . Amazing place 10/10

I was live-in bar/cellar man in this pub in the early 90s.Kings Cross was a dangerous area then but The Swan was a decent pub with meals for the surrounding office workers. Just on Regents Canal. Coming from Ireland I thought it was great that workers were allowed to go for a couple of pints at lunchtime. I was in my early 20s and a good time to be in London. There was a Spanish bar-restaurant in Pentonville Rd and Filthy ManNasty’s up in Amwell St and Minogue’s Liverpool St. Walking up Chapel St Market to Upper St Angel. The 90s the good old days 😀

Initial delivery time was 8:15 and kept getting pushed back til almost 9 although was quoted at 20 mins. App showed driver at restaurant for more than 20 mins before leaving

Personale molto cordiale e cucina ottima super consigliato! Locale rinnovato, a due passi dall’ uscita della metro Old Street. Consegna a domicilio entro le 3 miglia.

Special curry, the meat was so hard you could not cut, it was replaced with a chicken curry with the meat equally tough. However, the salt and pepper squid was lovely as was the pancake rolls, such a shame the people are lovely.

Gran tofu salteado. Muy fresco Chef obligatorio y servicio alegre. Porciones generosas. Buena mezcla de verduras allí y perfectamente sazonada. Arroz bien cocido. Solo 6 cada uno y rodajas de naranja de cortesía en nuestra comida para llevar. Nos sentamos en una puerta a la vuelta de la esquina y realmente disfrutamos de esta comida improvisada antes del ballet en Sadlers Wells a solo un par de cientos de años más adelante. Pide comida vegana y te acomodarán.

A nice little place to grab a bite to eat. Prices are fair and enjoyed the food. I found it clean and hygienic and will come back again when I'm around the area.
