The best restaurants serving Chinese food in South East

Still my favourite Chinese restaurant after 18 years. The food is beautifully cooked and presented and we are always greeted warmly by the owner. I think I've had the prawns in butter sauce every time I've been because it's the best thing I've ever tasted. Please don't ever stop doing it because I've never seen it anywhere else! I also recommend the soft shell crab and beef and cashew. Thank you for a lovely evening celebrating my son's birthday.

Just recieved our Christmas eve treat. Ordered at 17.15, it arrived (via delivery) at almost quarter to 8. Really not impressed with the service or the food. Pancake rolls and Chicken balls were greasy and tasted like they were cooked in old oil and some of the food tasted burnt. First time I've used this Chinese, I went on reviews but won't be using it again.. Cost me almost £32, complete waste of money and a sad end to our Christmas eve.... :(

I've recently given this take away another chance after a couple of years I'm sorry to say again on the 2 deliveries I've ordered they have been over an hour late the food is good not wonderful but for me I won't be ordering again..

such a shame as this place is going down hill fast ,I don't understand how you can expect people to place an order and have to over 2 hours for it to be delivered. Thinks are be going else where in future

Absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty food, didn't have to wait long at all

We have been customers for about 20 years, and, consistently the food and service has been beyond excellent. Do not know how you do it, but please keep it up. Brilliant and highly recommended.

Horrible. This place smells like a musty church hall, still has covid plastic screens, cash only. Chicken curry was grey and tasteless, pancakes rolls were made with really thick batter which was soggy in middle and dripping in grease. I should have known whatbit would be like when I called the order in and she said ready in 5mins.

Never had a problem with the food, however, went again tonight website said it was open, when I got there from Boxhill it wasn’t ! This is the third time in 4/5 years this has happened to me, won’t be going back.

Best Chinese takeaway in Brighton with out a doubt

Went in for a quick drink, found an empty table, not reserved and not set with cutlery for dinner. After 10 minutes the most rude, unprofessional, obnoxious man I have ever had the misfortune to deal with came over and in a very load and aggressive voice said "You need to move, you cant just come in here and sit down move now" My wife then tried to respond but he just talked over her refusing to listen. He then said he needed the table as it was in the restaurant (there is no indication the pub has any segregation for dining) but there were plenty of tables at the from of the pub. I agreed to move if he found us a table elsewhere. WE got up to follow him to the front but he went back behind the bar and ignored us. WE then started to speak to one of the waiting staff who agreed to help but he then returned and instructed her to go and deal with something else without even acknowledging us or the fact he had interrupted the conversation. We will never use this venue again and will share with everyone we know and can reach out to how unbelievably poor our experience was and I cannot believe such a rude and unpleasant individual can be working in hospitality! If your in Caterham do yourself a favour walk part the Crown and Pepper and into the William Garland instead

Very nice food, and atmosphere. Just need more staff, had to wait a very long time for my beer after ordering it

Was amazing food. Great value huge portions. Quick service, friendly staff. Very clean. And food was delicious!!! Will be back
