Heard about the food served in the Mayflower, and it being really good. Ordered a delivery, was a little disappointed as the chow mein was slightly burnt, but was still sent out to us! Didn't like the battered spare ribs, to me it just doesn't work! Am interested to try other things on the menu. Will give my review then!

I’m really disappointed I am giving this restaurant 1 star because I had high hopes for this place, nice rural location which could be a really lovely restaurant. We have been here twice (hoping we would have a better experience on the second time) for the ‘all you can eat’ menu. On both occasions we felt extremely uncomfortable, the male manager asked my children for ID incase they needed to pay for an adult meal (my children are 5 & 8!) and then when we ordered they told us to stop ordering because we won’t eat it! And then whilst we were eating we had 3 staff members watching us the entire time! Male manager very rude with no personality. Such a shame but we won’t be returning.

Dragon Pearl has always been our place to go for a Chinese Takeaway when visiting the island. Usually we would eat in but as there was only the 2 of us it was more handy to have a takeaway. We had chicken fried rice, chips, Chicken curry & bbq spare ribs & as always we were not disappointed. My husband is Gluten intolerant so we did ask questions on whether or not the chicken curry was GF which it wasn't but we still had it anyway & it was delicious. They do however have lots of GF options on the menu which other restaurants/takeaways do not offer so this is always good to know. Great friendly staff too.

Food and service are great. Drinks are expensive IMO. The restaurant itself was COLD 🥶. I kept my coat on the whole time, switching it to around my legs like a blanket part-way through because they felt like blocks of ice. We were warming our hands on the dinner plates and when the hot wipes came at the end of the meal, I was tempted to take my socks and boots off to warm my toes up (but didn't). There were people at other tables sat with their coats on too. It did not feel welcoming and let the place down overall. Would go back in the Summer!

Very popular Chinese takeaway in Abingdon. Doesn't do delivery but it's easy to walk to from most of south Abingdon. Service is quick and prices are about average. Food is generally good although last time the crispy chilli beef was far too crispy, probably over fried. Otherwise their food is tasty. Shop itself is very basic and they only take cash above £15.
