The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Our favourite dining place locally.

Quiet when we arrived but did get busier as the evening went on. A true family restaurant with father cooking and his daughter and wife in front of house. Not Chinese food but Cantonese which I prefer and they do have a pretty wide range of dishes to choose from. We started with the complimentary prawn crackers and opted for the Hors D'oeuvre - spring rolls, Prawn Toast, Chicken Satay Skewers with a fantastic satay sauce, crispy seaweed and smoked shredded chicken . Everything was well cooked, piping hot and nd a great starter. Main courses of chicken sweetcorn with Cashew nuts and a lemon chicken with noodles followed both of which were excellent. Adequate portion with delicious sauces and extremely tasty - couldn't fault it. I finished with my normal Cointreau Coffee and it is still the best tasting liqueur coffee I have ever had. No matter where I have been U.K. or overseas, I have yet to taste better. Couple of beers and cokes finished the meal which came in at £35 per head which included a tip (left to the diners discretion rather than automatically being included) As for background music - old 60's/70's songs which brought back so many memories whilst taxing the brain box - thanks to Shazam for helping out.

Had takeaway and the food and service was great, and very reasonably priced.

This was a succulent Chinese meal, categorically delicious, fully 10/10 would have again. I have also enjoyed myself twice here.

On this occasion poor service just been discharged from. Hospital stopped to get food on way home only to get to scarning and find they've forgotten the chips,best offer they could make was for us to drive back or refund it suggested they could get someone to drop them off what with us being regulars but not an option and hung up on me.

First time meal from here 21st December,totally impressed with the quality of food and portions,spring rolls awesome,,trust me I've ate a few,,curry not too hot a very flavourful, Beef and broccoli just aldente, family had chow mein,,large portions,even the fussy member of the family enjoyed the food,,will def be ordering soon Best regards bernie,@windmill rd

Amazing food and amazing service. The food they cook is pretty damn good and the staff is really friendly. Will order again.

Shocking service , twice ordered a takeaway , excepted order and a hour later, 10 minutes before order was due to be delivered They declined order

I ordered at five on a Saturday, to arrive at seven, to fit in between different commitments. Good food but 35 minutes late, which messed up the lifts that had been planned. It was planned as a convenience and it was unsuccessful. Forty quid for two meant that it was on the expensive side, too.

Food was absolutely excellent we have not been here for a while since last ownership, very tasty quality is excellent & good size portions for a very reasonable price compared to other local takeaways.
