The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Restaurant conseillé par la concierge du SOFITEL… et finalement nous avons été déçus par la nourriture. Entrée ok mais les plats n’ont pas été à la hauteur. Le poulet du kum pao n’était pas assez cuit et n’est pas celui que nous mangeons habituellement. Crevettes du plat pas assez cuites. Par contre le personne de très bonne qualité.

Took nearly 2 hours for our food to arrive. Food is nice but delivery is not always exact or takes longer than usual.

Great to have a Chinese takeaway that was light, varied and leave you feeling fresh! I can definitely recommend the satay, sweet, nutty and rich. The schezwshan pork was decent too. Cash only, so get organised.

The westview restaurant itself is a well-appointed small bijou Oriental restaurant. However, on this occasion we attended to buy a carryout meal of Chinese food. Although the food in itself was reasonable, we had once sweet and sour chicken with rice and one salt and pepper chicken with thin noodles. Total price £41 and yes they did charges for the prawn crackers too I believe. Probably the most expensive Chinese carryout I've ever had in my life. Japanese and Korean also available. Food was tasty but nothing that blows your mind and at that price sorry but we wouldn't be back for take out. Maybe to eat in the restaurant that might be okay. You'd expect to believe those prices in a restaurant but not for a carryout, but we knew the prices when we went in and as it is the only one in town, we never had much choice. Perhaps that's why they charge such extortionate prices for takeout food.

I go to The Wok for years. Love my sweet and sour Chicken with soft noodles if is freshly cooked :) sometimes happens that the chicken taste dry and chewy but most of the time is ok. Wondering why they have been closed for so long but finally they reopen and today I am going to get my favorite 😍

My experience here was really good. The service was quick and I thought the food tasted amazing!

Lovely meal at Chef Zhu - perfect prawn crackers, and good individual service as we picked meals. Happy to swap tofu into a meat dish for me. Food was really tasty, the vegetables were perfect and as fresh as you like, and my husband raved about the Beef with Ginger. We'll be back.

This takeaway was recommended to me so I thought I'd give it a try. So wish I hadn't! I ordered a vegetable curry, boiled rice and banana fritters. I don't know if meat and prawns are considered vegetables in China but they are not by me. I haven't eaten fish or meat for 40 years and have never asked for anything vegetarian and received a meat dish in this time. But this curry definitely had meat and prawns in and hardly any veg, so I'm guessing it wasn't actually a 'vegetable curry'... As I sat eating my sad container of dry and bland rice, I thought, 'at least I have the banana fritters' - forget that! They were disgusting and inedible (and it has to be bad for me not to eat a pudding!). The food also took ages to arrive and they added an unwanted bag of prawn crackers. Why do takeaways do this? Can't they ask if you want them? Such a waste of food. I will never be visiting this establishment again, or the shop next door with the intimidating crowd of men around the door (I am a 5'1" woman), or the vets next to them who only care about money. The whole lot of you can take a running jump!

Both Indian and Chinese food is delicious, the menu has lots of choice which caters for everyone. The restaurant lacks ambience and any kind of style, but the food makes you overlook this!

Always enjoy the takeaways from here. Chose what I order the food is always cooked well and tasty.

Cold. Late and despite spending £50+ no crackers! If you’re looking for spice or heat don’t bother. Duck curry “spicy”. NOT. Thick lumps of yellow pale fat on the duck. No spice at all. Chips pale cold and greasy. Plain noodles good for our daughter. Sweet and sour chicken, egg fried Rice all standard. Cheaper To use just eat voucher and get delivered just across the road but late and cold Happy Christmas to a low paid school worker trying to treat their family at the end of term. Being back Tiger and Lily. Definitely won’t be back

Absolutely phenomenal food & being a pescatarian the King prawn dishes were divine. I was recommended by a few friends to try Canton. I cannot recommend this highly enough everything was superb. I certainly will be reordering. Wow 🤩

Absolutely the best, highest quality chinese food I've tasted in a long time. No kidding, we've had take aways from their before, but Saturday night everything was so very tasty, the prices are reasonable, and we were all pleased as we tend to get quite a bit of food for our lot! We love Wonton soup, and this was especially nice. Full of flavour, and the wontons in the soup bursting with flavour. Well done Rice Bowl!

Un gran restaurante chino con buena comida y personal amable helpfu. Las comidas se sirvieron con prontitud y eficiencia y el personal fue muy atento. Los precios son muy razonables. Una excelente experiencia en general.
