The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

The Rainbow is now Bagus Bagus UK and was closed, despite the website stating it was open. No explanation of this change in name was available especially when it now appears to have a peculiar name.

Yes don’t be put off by negative reviews. The best Thai green curry I have ever had .lots of meat and plenty of veg and pineapple with it . Hubby had chowcmein with extra noodles well worth every penny . Dont blame them not taking credit cards.

Just had takeaway from happy valley. Chips were like cardboard absolutely crap. Chicken chow mein was ok no spice at all. Chicken curry was ok. Total dissapointment. Cant seem to find a decent chinese takeaway after dave retired from chung ying.

The fillet steak in black pepper was amazing so soft and everything else was beautiful..1st time ordering and will definitely be ordering again

Walked in for a take away….initially ignored at the desk…informed of a wait..fair enough. Collected the food…awful. Stodgy rice, dry chicken, noodles terrible…..non of it appeared particularly fresh. Will not return. Much better elsewhere. Very very disappointing indeed..

I’m traumatised at what they gave us tonight as a takeaway go on off chicken foul smelling food undercooked omelette then I asked for a refund and they handed over 5 pound out of 62 pound over the counter and swore at me and made my kids cry I’m so upset and don’t no how this buisness is running I’m calling trading standards in the morning I have images of the food there providing. Dodge going here Sam’s and china express is lovely however we thought we would give this one a second chance as we was passing both times been vile

Always get our takeaway from here and always been fantastic so for our anniversary we decided to try the restaurant. It was a Wednesday so only ones there but there was a constant flow of take aways. Service great and food perfect. Will be back on our next occasion

Called and ready to collect in 5 minutes. Really impressed. Everything was very hot and super tasty. Our first time trying. 10/10.

Food always hot taste and plenty of it

Me and my friends are regular customers and they always throw in prawn crackers. They must have a new staff called Nicola and because we were £1.70 off the £30 she said no. We’ve always have been given these. When I questioned it she was abrupt, rude…absolutely shocking after we’ve spent so many orders with my friends at china kitchen. Terrible customer experience.

Food was lovely treated great, good portion sizes and was hot when packed.

Amazing food, great service. It is a shame they have now clised becayse if retirement. I wish them well!

Crispy duck not crispy. Plum sauce disgusting. Satay thin with little taste and mostly onion with cucumber????? Szechuan with the most woody bamboo shoots as the majority of the dish. Flavours chips and even undercooked build rice. How this has positive reviews is unknown. Never again.

We offered to collect. We got bbq ribs, egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style and mini spring rolls- it was some of the blandest lack lustre food we’ve ever had - wouldn’t get again

This has closed, and re opened at Rings End, March Road, called Mama Tree ( previously called Oriental Garden). Signs are up stating that a Carvery is about to open.
