Honestly the best Chinese I’ve had in Clacton so far!! They have always been quick and the meals are always piping hot delivered to the door! Fresh and the most tastiest I’ve never been a massive fan of Chinese but since ordering from here regularly I can honestly say I definitely love myself a Chinese and won’t go any were else ! Trial and error and this definitely won me over ! Staff are friendly and have always been so so police! Great service all round

Most local takeouts have a very very limited vegetarian option but the Anchor Fish Bar offer fried bean curd (tofu) as an option, so you can at least get some protein with your vegetarian meal. The fried bean curd, veg and Szechuan sauce that I got was delicious and I will definitely be tempted to go back. Also the staff were friendly and helpful despite being really busy and the phone ringing constantly.

Absolute banging food and great value for money, quite possibly the best in luton . £3:45 for a lunchtime special beef curry with rice, what’s not to like ?

Beautiful place to get food. Lee and his wife were a delight when we picked up our food and cooked everything fresh and in front of us. The portion size was huge aswell 👍🏻

Very reasonably priced Chinese restaurant with tea time special

Came for NYE , service was shocking from arriving to getting seated. We must have waited 10 minutes with a guy behind the bar overlooking. Lack of staff and service all round. The food , presented very nice but in terms of taste nothing outstanding. The prices of the food is high in line with restaurants in the city centre and Chinatown , strange considering this isn't in the city centre. The seabass , 2 skinny fillets with a tasteless ginger and soy sauce. The main gripe was between courses , plates were brought out too early. By the time the courses came the plates were cold we sent the plates back when it came to the mains. Overall poor , wouldn't visit again!!

Food was OK, not brilliant. Wait time was reasonable (45 mins at 6.30pm). Prices were on the high side, but portions were reasonably generous.

1st time ordering from Gwok Hing and will not be the last! I think it may be the best Chinese takeaway I've had in years. I've tried a couple Chinese takeaways in the Bamber Bridge area but Gwok Hing is head and shoulders above the rest! Our order was simple but can be hard to get it right. Sweet and Sour chicken, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips with veg spring rolls and every part of the order was perfect! Definitely recommend. I've found my go to Chinese takeout!
