The best restaurants serving Fast food food in England

Very small portions compared to other chips shops and a chaotic and confusing way of serving customers

Johnny was so lovely! After a stressful day, great customer service goes a really long way and makes the difference. Props to him for being such a positive emoloyee!

The food is great and the service is very good. The only negative I would highlight is the women’s toilet. It’s looking a bit grubby and needs a good scrub.

Overall value and taste was good but service was very slow, could do with some experience on the servery with a better faster system of serving, only 1 young woman serving on a bank holiday not enough to cope with demand.

This review does not detract from what is a fabulous location but the food is hugely overpriced for what it is. 7 of us for a brisket burger and fries and soft drink was over £100. Now I know this is Cornwall, we were not on holiday and live about 20 minutes away but come on!

Gone downhill. Had chip buckets a few times over the years but the last one we had at Aylsham lights was just a huge disappointment. £28 for 4 people you would expect quality produce. Only difference between kids cheesy chips and adult one was seemingly a bit of parsley on top, but a price difference of whopping £4. Cheese not melted, just pre-grated flavourless cheese dumped on the top of frozen chips. I had the winter warmer and the sausage tasted undercooked and I had a stomach ache for the rest of the evening. Overpriced, overmarketed, doesn't look anything like the photos on social media. Customer service wasn't great either, grumpy faces, no smiles.

We went here to grab a quick lunch after checking the allergen menu. Almost everything is marked as having gluten in but several are marked to say that the gluten can be "removed", meaning swapping out the bun for a gluten free bun. When we went to order and filtered by gluten free, no options came up. When I queried this I was told that they weren't actually gf because some of the ingredients still had gluten in. I queried this because I assumed those are ones without a note they can be removed. He then proceeded to say that they could do a gf bun but you can't order it and they don't recommend that you do. He then proceeded to mansplain cross contamination - pretty sure the people with the intolerance are going to know what that is... In the end we left without ordering. He told me he was trying to help me, he wasn't. I did tell him that. Anyway don't go, the staff are rude and the allergy menu is just a con 🙄

The upper terrace is awesome during a warm London summer. Great disco tunes playing. Lively atmosphere. Then comes all the wonderfully tasty food! So many delicious options to choose from. Everyone in our group throughly enjoyed their choice for dinner. Looking forward to returning :))

Lovely staff - friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a really nice coffee and rolo caramel brownie. Great place to stop if you're visiting the Maritime Museum

Tonight we ordered from the Wo Sing and sadly the food was a let down and underwhelming. The food was mostly bland and lacked flavour or seasoning. Examples are, the mushrooms and onions were tasteless and swimming in a very thin watery liquid. The egg fried rice was again bland and a bit stodgy. The worst part was the king prawn balls - they were soggy and very greasy. Not crisp and tasty like I am used to at my usual takeaway . The chicken chow mein was also quite greasy and lacking any authenticity. My son said the duck with pancakes was not too bad but he agreed that the majority of the order was bland and under seasoned. Also the hoisin sauce was so thick in the pot it had to be spooned out. The satay sauce was nice and the chips were as expected for chips. The Hong Kong takeaway on littlestone road Was closed for holidays so we thought it would be nice to try somewhere new. Bad decision!! The cash only is inconvenient but worth it if the food is amazing. This was not the case. I called after eating to let them know I was disappointed and had hoped for more understanding. The lady I spoke to was very defensive saying how they have many happy customers and it’s my opinion. She was not empathetic of our bad experience and her idea of customer service is “well we have been open 19 years and have followed our same recipes” and whatever other robotic garbage she replied with. Won’t be back and can’t wait to visit Hong Kong takeaway next time we fancy a treat. It’s like night and day in taste, customer service , price , and quantity. £42 cash paid and enjoyed 10%. The person who served me was very friendly and welcoming, shame about the rest of this experience.

Hotel is pretty clean and tidy. Bedroom was clean and housekeeping came in daily. However, the food is disgusting. I wouldn't feed in to my worse enemy. It's was cold, tasteless and took forever to be served even though we had to order at breakfast. Grey mashed potatoes I didn't know even existed. Breakfast was a fight for cereal and coffee. Cereals were tasteless and stale. Orange juice was ok. I would avoid at any cost.

Trainee pickup food with his fingers, food luke warm, chips dry, stale cold. sausage cold. Hard fritter. Charged wrong at first. Don't take cards Had to throw it away. Vile. It was the only option on Sunday evening . I remember why I don't go there.

Food was good, small portions of rice compared to previous time. Delivery was bit late but it was Saturday night… overall good food.

Beautifully cooked fish and chips with home made mushy peas. The chips were exceptional - with the magic bit of coating that made then crispy, golden and extra delicious. Very friendly service. Will definitely come again.
