Called here for a few drinks prior to New Year festivities by the Thames River. Wanted to buy a second round but was told they were too busy to accommodate us! Upon checking, when leaving, they had numerous spare tables and didn’t appear too busy. If we’d had food I feel we would have been shown more courtesy but, we were about to spend more money, so it’s their loss. Would we go again? Absolutely not! Poor hospitality.

Went for lunch with the Mrs was greeted with smiles and friendly welcomes , we were shown to our table which we do advise to book as was pretty busy inside for a 3.30 Sunday afternoon. We had soft drinks as neither of us drink alcohol but the drinks menu was substantial enough for most people. Average price of drinks was around £10, we had olives and bread with butter as our starter (butter is made in house and is absolutely amazing!). there were quite a few choices but we didn't want to get a proper starter, so we opted for main and dessert with a lite aperitif to start followed by steak frites and I had the ribeye which was a special of the day. Both cooked to perfection and very tender. Dessert we had apple tart fin which was amazing and a baked cheese cake which was also very nice but apple tart won the battle of the desserts. Staff were professional, attentive, well dressed and friendly and management were great too. Special mention to Juan and our waiter who we forgot their name but he said he was from Peru. We will be back for another date maybe dinner next time. Highly recommend for a date night in London.

Stopped briefly for a quick lunch on our way to Hammersmith, and so glad we did! The baguettes look mouthwatering and are freshly made to some really unique combinations of fillings. Also a tempting range of delicious French style desserts. Coffee is really good and the overall price is really affordable. Well worth a visit.

At first glance the £28 two course lunch seemed like a good call. But the restaurant lacked any senior leadership so service was slow and casual so the experience was a bit painful. The sommelier was charming and knowledgeable but after helping select the wine, disappeared, leaving us to serve ourselves from the bucket just out of reach on the bar. Getting any kind of top up was arduous. When the food came it was luke warm. Overall very disappointing.

Bar des Prés London offers a cozy yet refined atmosphere, ideal for a special night out. Sitting at the counter provides a unique opportunity to observe the skilled chefs in action, adding an extra layer to the dining experience. Dishes we tried: • California roll with flamed salmon and crispy prawns - £20 Well-balanced flavors, with a satisfying crisp. • Lobster maki - £16 A subtle touch of wasabi that doesn’t overpower the delicate flavors. • Selection of sushi - £36 Includes salmon, akami, and chutoro—exceptionally fresh and high-quality. • Crunchy crab & avocado galette - £26 The restaurant’s signature dish, perfectly executed with a crispy texture and rich taste. • Scottish langoustine ravioli, bisque - £36 Served in a rich, flavorful sauce that perfectly complements the dish. The service was attentive, and the overall experience was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant for sushi lovers or anyone seeking a memorable evening in London! @hedonist.food.passion
